About this deal

Born on Fenris, when Grimnar was young he was part of the Iron Blood tribe. In 313. M41 while battling the enemy Sea Devil and Ice Fang tribes on the Boiling Ocean of Fenris, Logan and his crew were ambushed at the ruins of a temple of Morkai. Soon only Logan was left among his comrades, facing enemy tribesmen with a bloody axe. High above, the battle was being observed by a Space Wolves Wolf Priest Ulrik. As Logan made his final stand, he was saved by Terminators who then spirited him to The Fang. [3] Space Wolf Once you have selected an eligible unit to declare a charge, you must select one or more enemy units within 12" of it as the targets of that charge. The targets of a charge do not need to be visible to the charging unit. Ulstvan Morkaison and his assigned bodyguard of Wolf Guard Terminators ride to war in an ancient Land Raider Redeemer, known as the Fire of Fenris. The revered battle-tank is adorned with relics and charms sacred to the Space Wolves Chapter. All units in the enemy player’s army must have the Necron Faction. He must include Trazyn the Infinite in his army to be his Warlord. He must also include a C’tan Shard (representing the Shard of the Burning One) in his army. The C’tan Shard does not cost any points (see The Burning One Awakened mission special rule, below).

When Logan Grimnar was young, the Sky Warriors saw the seeds of greatness within him. Since then he has proven himself fearless in battle, wise in counsel and tempered of spirit. Not since the time of Leman Russ has the Chapter known such a leader -- the Wolf Lord's ascension to Great Wolf seemed to be blessed by the great primarch himself. A warrior-born, Grimnar fought his way through the ranks of the Space Wolves under the watchful eye of the venerable Wolf Priest Ulrik the Slayer. Despite the fact that Logan has seen seven hundred Terran years of warfare, to this day Ulrik calls Logan "young Grimnar," and it is a sign of of his friendly deameanour that Logan allows this to pass without comment. To face the Kingsguard of Fenris in battle is to face death itself. The howling warriors fall upon their opponents like the massive Fenrisian Wolves of their homeworld, tearing flesh with their fangs and wreaking destruction with their great Wolf Claws (a Fenrisian variant of Lightning Claws): They are the chosen of the Great Wolf, heroes all, a band of fearless warriors the likes of which the galaxy has seldom seen. I am honoured to fight by their side, even if it is only to bask in their reflected glory."

Space Wolves, like all Space Marines, are adept at ship-to-ship fighting. Logan's Wolf Guard are especially skilled in this kind of warfare, crossing the cold vacuum of space to raid or cripple enemy vessels. For these kinds of engagements the Old Wolf will often call upon his Void Claws –- Wolf Guard Terminators armed with paired Wolf Claws for brutal close combat engagements. Logan Grimnar's face is lined with the scars of an age of war. His long white beard and grey braids tell a tale of an ancient warrior lord who has spent many lifetimes fighting across the cold vaccum of the Sea of Stars. Those that look into his golden eyes cannot doubt the cunning and iron will that lurk there, and despite centuries of battle Logan Grimnar remains a peerless and redoubtable warlord. After setting up the terrain, the players take it in turns to place a total of 6 Objective Markers as described in Warhammer 40,000: The Rules. Axe Morkai - This mighty weapon is borne into battle by the Great Wolf. The Axe Morkai is an ancient artefact, thrumming with the power of the Warp, a battlefield trophy taken from a defeated Chaos Champion by the Great Wolf himself. Grimnar had the Chapter's Iron Priests reforge the deadly axe into the likeness of the twin-headed Fenrisian wolf-god Morkai, the guardian of the gates of the afterlife in the myths of the people of the Space Wolves' homeworld, Fenris. Grimnar has won the approval of his Space Wolves through his deeds and his words. On the field of battle, the Old Wolf leads by example, always the first to charge into the fray. The Space Wolves are drawn from the warrior tribes of Fenris, a frozen and inhospitable world of vast oceans and slavering predators. In many ways the structure of the Space Wolves Chapter mirrors the tribal origins of its battle-brothers. Logan Grimnar is seen not just as a military commander but also as a great clan leader or longship captain -- positions of revered power on the world of Fenris.

Joros was leading the Grey Knights force attached to Kysnaros' armada. This was another ad hoc brotherhood-strength contingent, steadily increasing in numbers, that joined the containment campaign after the Armageddon war, along with the few Grey Knights who survived it. Joros became Kysnaros' principal advisor in the interactions with the Space Wolves, as the latter had no experience in dealing with Astartes. According to the 5th Edition Space Wolves codex, as of the end of M41, Grimnar has been Great Wolf for "over 700 years". [2a] However, according to the Champions of Fenris Codex Supplement, Grimnar was elected Great Wolf in 440. M41, just under 560 years from the end of M41. [3] Runstun Wolfbrother - Few of Logan Grimnar's Wolf Guard have been promoted from the Wolf Scouts. Runstun is even more unusual as the only known survivor of the lost Strike Force Iceclaw. The suppression of these truths is a basic element of the Inquisition's mandate concerning the Imperium's eternal fight against Chaos, and often involves brutal and indiscriminate purges, where Imperial citizens are liable to be executed on mere suspicion, and whole worlds subjected to the horror of the Exterminatus.

Space Wolves.

Every time you slay an enemy Independent Character in a challenge, you instead score 2 Victory Points. Wolf Guard • Chapter Ancients • Thunderwolf Cavalry • Great Company Champion • Veteran Intercessors

The player who deployed his army first has the first turn unless his opponent can Seize the Initiative. Follow me and I promise you glory and adventure! Follow me and I promise that, if you fall, your name will be sung for as long as the Sons of Russ walk the stars!" For the rest of the campaign on Armageddon Logan fought with the axe, and upon his return to Fenris he had it reforged, dubbing it the Axe Morkai. As there was already mistrust and suspicion of the Space Wolves within the Imperial hierarchy over past disputes and the Space Wolves' habit of disregarding Imperial authority, Grimnar's demand seemed either naive or an excuse for a fight, while his manner was condescending towards the Inquisitors. However, in truth Grimnar was genuinely sympathetic to the Human element on Armageddon, and questioned the wisdom of saving a planet if its inhabitants and defenders would then have to be "processed" by the Inquisition for the sin of knowing about the existence of Chaos or the secret Imperial organisations arrayed against it. At the end of the game, each Objective Marker is worth 3 Victory Points to the player that controls it.

Battle for Midgardia (933.M41) - A Necron fleet led by Trazyn the Infinite descends upon the jungle-covered Death World of Midgardia in the Fenris System. The Necron Overlord seeks a shard of the C'tan Nyadra'zatha that slumbers in the core of the Fenrisian planet. Angered by the audacity of his foes, Logan Grimnar leads a huge force against the Necrons, turning the toxic jungles and subterranean cities of Midgardia into a bitter and brutal warzone. The enemy player should first roll to determine his Warlord Trait. The Champions of Fenris player deploys his army first, anywhere in his deployment zone depicted on the map. The enemy player then deploys his army anywhere in his deployment zone. Great Wolf • Wolf Lord ( Primaris Wolf Lord) • Battle Leader ( Wolf Guard Battle Leader • Primaris Battle Leader) • Chapter Ancient • Company Ancient • Chapter Champion • Company Champion When a unit disembarks from a TRANSPORT model, set it up on the battlefield so that it is wholly within 3" of that TRANSPORT model and not within Engagement Range of any enemy models. If, for any reason, a disembarking model cannot be set up, that model’s unit cannot disembark.
