About this deal

Some Mesa users have also reported that the small opening makes it more challenging to ignite. That said, if you’re ok with the extra effort needed, it’s still a good option. Heat Radius The Mesa is a great place to start if you want to experience the Solo Stove without a large investment. It features the same smokeless tech as Solo’s full-size stoves but in a compact body. It’s also a fun piece to have on hand to set up the kids to roast s’mores rather than light a large fire. It’s the perfect size to place on an outdoor tabletop and simple enough for older kids and teens to safely fire up with minimal adult supervision. There is not a protective barrier. Mesa will be very hot to the touch and should never be left unattended when in use. Mesa XL does not use a pellet adapter. Instead, it uses a Duel Fuel grate that can be accommodate both Mini Firewood and Solo Stove Premium Wood Fuel Pellets. Made to run on more, Mesa XL’s capabilities go beyond just one fuel source. An included pellet adapter gives you the choice to burn with Solo Stove Premium Wood Fuel Pellets or any fuel on hand. With Signature 360° Airflow, Mesa XL’s flames will burn ultra-hot whether you’re burning pellets or our Solo Stove Mini Oak Firewood. Easy To Light

According to the Solo Stove team’s standardized pellet fire test, the Mesa gets about 30-45 minutes of burn time and Mesa XL gets about 45 minutes to 1 hour. (With traditional wood fuel, we found the burn times to be about the same, for the record.) This makes it super convenient to take hiking and have a little fire without having to have an open pit fire. It also makes it easy to take to friends houses or to my partner's house. Is there a recommended amount of distance or table size to use when using Mesa? How close can you be to it while it is in use? Portability: Both the Mesa and the Mesa XL are designed with portability in mind. However, due to its larger size, the Mesa XL might be slightly less convenient to transport than the more compact Mesa. If you plan to take your fire pit on camping trips or to different outdoor locations frequently, the Mesa might be a better option in terms of ease of transportation.

Mesa XL boast an extended burn time of 45-60 mins. This extended burn time allows for uninterrupted enjoyment, minimizing the need for frequent refuelling or maintenance MORE FUEL FOR YOU FLAME DUAL FUEL PERMITS VARIOUS USE: Mesa can run on more than one fuel source since it is designed to do so. You have the option to burn with pellets or any available fuel thanks to the integrated pellet burner adaptor. Whether you’re burning wood or pellets, Mesa’s flames will burn extremely hot thanks to its signature 360° Airflow. As the name suggests the Mesa XL is a larger version of the Mesa with a larger capacity, heat output and burn time. The Mesa XL doesn't need a separate pellet adapter whereas the Mesa does. With a heat radius of 2-3 feet, the Mesa XL ensures that everyone can enjoy the cozy ambiance it provides. Whether you're hosting a party or simply enjoying a quiet evening, its capacity to roast up to 4 marshmallows simultaneously means there's more room for s'mores-making sessions. Dimensions

Mesa is intended for outdoor use only. It is not recommended to use under a canopy, patio umbrella, or gazebo.Signature 360° Airflow: This is the defining feature of Solo Stove's fire pits. It's a proprietary ventilation system that uses a system of perforations throughout the fire pit to continually feed fresh oxygen to the base of the fire while simultaneously pumping superheated oxygen to the top of the flame. This results in both a hotter and more efficient flame and a near-total absence of smoke. Supersize or miniaturize — it feels like we’re obsessed with gear on either end of the spectrum. At REI alone, you can buy a 10-person party tent or a literal Tiny Tent for your pet. The Mesa XL features an ample fuel capacity, capable of accommodating wood up to 7 in long and up to 1000 g of pellets. With this generous capacity, users can enjoy extended burn times and sustained ambiance without frequent refueling. Dual Fuel Grate

With a heat radius of 2-3 feet, the Mesa XL ensure everyone can enjoy the cosy ambience it provides. Whether your hosting a party or simply enjoying a quite evening, its capacity to roast up to 4 marshmallows simultaneously means there more room for s’mores making sessions DIMENSIONS If you often camp in places where it gets quite cold in the evenings and there are usually more than 3 people in your group, I’d go for the Mesa XL because its heat radius is between 2-3 feet compared with the Mesa’s 1-2 feet. While it still produces way more flames than a candle I'm confident that I won't burning down my apartment building and I'm also confident that my neighbors won't have a big problem with it.On spec, there aren’t many differences — which is why it’s interesting Solo Stove took the time to make the Mesa in a second size. But at the end of the day, head to head, it all comes down to burn time.
