About this deal

For something a wee bit different, BBC bitesize has this Spanish lesson where Sergio Aguero will teach you how to count to 12 in Spanish. If you manage it maybe you could see how many more Spanish words you could learn. Mrs Ferguson was practising the spelling words with Grace yesterday and they came up with a great way to learn the words. They made little flashcards and wrote each word out twice and then used them to play pairs. What a great idea! You could also play snap with them too. Why not give it a try? Selina became an officer in the Daughters of the King organization and was also an active member of her church and the local history society. Although her husband did become a US citizen it is uncertain as to whether Selina ever relinquished her British citizenship. Her mother later died in New York on 4 August 1937. Good Morning Everyone and Happy Friday. Mrs Ferguson and I have really enjoyed speaking to all the parents and the children this week. It’s been lovely to hear how everyone is getting on at home. We still have a few people to catch up with today so if you haven’t heard from us yet, please watch your phone later today for a withheld number, it will probably be us! She said they were working long hours and "it never even crossed my mind that there could be any suspicion that Robin had a drink problem".

Mrs Arthur Henry Cook was born Selina Rogers on 6 April 1890 in Rotherfield, Sussex, England. She was the daughter of James Henry Rogers (b. 1857), a poultry worker, and Margaret Howard (b. 1856). Her father was native to Rotherfield whilst her mother was a northerner, originally from Sedbergh in Yorkshire; they had married in 1886. Selina had four siblings: Harold (1888-1961), Effie (b. 1892), Hilda Jane (b. 1893) and Charles John Howard (b. 1896). She also claimed her 52-year-old ex-husband had a habit of drinking heavily, in one incident in 1987 passing out on the floor of a hotel with a brandy bottle. Good morning everyone! I hope your week is going well. I was so disappointed at first to see that the weather had changed but it’s made us think of all the fun things we can do inside instead. Mr Cook found all his old Lego from when he was a wee boy and he’s been building it all with Adam. The two of them have been having a great time. We also took inspiration from Mrs Govans’ head teacher challenge and played a new board game together. We played Pictureka and it was great fun.

I thought it would be fun to do a little Art lesson today and I found this one on YouTube that shows you how to draw Baby Yoda from the Mandalorian… it’s super cute! If you try it, I’d love to see a photo. You could post it on your blog. Yesterday was such a beautiful day and I hope you were all able to get outside and enjoy the sunshine. Today is supposed to be just as nice so bearing that in mind, I’ve decided to give you one main task and then a list of activities that you could do outside in the garden.

A small memorial garden fountain was dedicated to Elizabeth Batts Cook on 27 February 1971 within the grounds of the E. G. Waterhouse National Camellia Garden at Caringbah South, NSW, Australia. This garden is located within the Sutherland Shire, which also contains the place of Captain Cook's first landing on continental Australia at Botany Bay on 29 April 1770. [9] [10] It also explains why this picture of Mrs Cook was in a collection of family portraits owned by David Featherby Thornbury – as it was his grandmother.Item 01: Mrs Elizth Cook. Aged 81 years, 1830 / W. Henderson". Archival.sl.nsw.gov.au/ . Retrieved 18 December 2019. In Memory of CAPTAIN JAMES COOK, of the Royal Navy. One of the most celebrated Navigators, that this or former Ages can boast of; who was killed by the Natives of Owyhee, in the Pacific Ocean, on the 14th Day of February, 1779: in the 51st Year of his Age.

If you are looking for something a wee bit different to do today, I found a maths challenge on BBC bitesize that looks fun. I think you could definitely do challenge 1 and 2 and if you are really confident you could give 3 and 4 a try too! There's part of me that says perhaps nobody deserves that - to have so much revealed about you, so much that's private and intimate. I hope you all have a lovely weekend and look forward to hearing from you soon. Take Care and stay safe! After the collision on the night of Sunday 14 April Selina berated Amelia Brown who was reluctant to get up even when their cabin-neighbour George Swane and her own roommates encouraged and warned her of the danger. Only when Selina exclaimed that she was surely the only person on the entire ship to remain in bed, did she stir. Over the decades Teesside has sadly seen dozens of grim and tragic murders. This week crime reporter Sophie Barley revisits the 1960s, starting today with the unsolved Redcar murder of Linda Cook.

Try to think of some interesting adjectives (describing words) to make your poem more exciting. Instead of “I can see the grass” which is pretty boring, you could write “I can see the long, green blades of grass blowing in the wind”. The film dwelt on the negative side far too early. Peter probably was envious of Dudley going off to Hollywood, but he didn't really want that for himself. He was always uncomfortable out there,' she said. Wendy Cook watched the Channel 4 film with her daughter Lucy, who she said was touched by the depiction of her father's sadness about the marriage breakdown. Today you could try some mindfulness art. Take your pencil for a walk then colour and use pattern to complete the spaces. Why not try it outside and enjoy the sunshine at the same time? Or use chalk to create a larger, outdoor picture? For maths today I thought we could try some more problem solving activities. Have a go at these and let me know how you get on. Charity of Mrs Elizabeth Cook, registered charity no. 238280". Charity Commission for England and Wales.

The book by Mrs Cook, A Slight and Delicate Creature, portrays her former husband as a heavy-drinking adulterer who compromised his principles for power. As its Monday, that means new spelling words for you. I will set up the challenge in Sumdog again using these words. I have noticed that a lot of you are doing this activity on Sumdog – well done!

A Foreign Office spokesman said: "Robin Cook will make no response to his ex-wife's account of their marriage."
