About this deal

The overheated and damaged tubes can lead to sound issues, so just inspect the amp for such tube issues and replace the damaged ones. On the other hand, if the amp seems overheated, you only need to let it rest to ensure it achieves room temperature. The 1 SPOT Pro CS6 includes a generous assortment of cables and converter plugs. The cables are of various lengths, color-coded for easy cable management and with right angle plugs on the pedal end. Various users have complained about humming in their music output when they connect the amp to 1 SPOT power supply because as soon as they shift to another power supply, the hum is eliminated. While it’s possible to replace the power supply, it’s more cost-effective if you just separate the signal-carrying cords and power cords. Overdrives or fuzzes that sound/feel better at lower voltage should utilize output 7. Set the dip switch to the “on” position, and adjust the mini-pot on the face of the unit to the desired voltage, anywhere from 4-9Vdc. We recognize that not all guitar pedals run off 9V. That’s why all 1 SPOT Pro models have outputs that can put out 9Vdc, 12Vdc or 18Vdc. The CS12 even has a variable voltage output for old-style fuzz pedals, and a 9Vac output for certain Line6 and Digitech pedals. And if you need to change the voltage of an output, Truetone also makes inexpensive converter cables to help you. There’s the Voltage Doubler, which does exactly what its name says, and the 18V to 9V Converter... which also does what its name says. They don’t have the most clever names, but they get the job done!

Line 6 M9 may be powered by outputs 10-11, but will also require the CL6 converter. The M9 can also be powered directly by the 9Vac of output 12. The 1 SPOT is the original 9V pedalboard power supply that only takes up one spot on an outlet strip or wall outlet. It solves an annoying problem that people have complained about for years, and does so with quiet, reliable performance! Many germanium based fuzzes and Octavia-style pedals will require the use of the CYR adaptor to reverse the polarity to center pin positive. If you’re a touring musician, or even if you just play at the local pub regularly, you know how important it is to have road-worthy gear. No worries with the 1 SPOT Pro. The housing is all steel, with cleverly designed vents that should keep out the accidental beer spill, should that ever happen. And the CS6 is completely sealed for extra protection.Radial Tonebone 15Vdc pedals can be powered by a 18Vdc output, using the Reverse Polarity Converter (CYR) included with the 1 SPOT Pro. It is important for you to know the power requirements for your pedal. For every pedal that you are going to power via the 1 SPOT Pro CS12, you need to know the following: I tested it by running all 8 pedals at once (something I never do when actually playing). The 1 SPOT passed the test with flying colors. With 1700ma of power available, there is more than enough juice to run my rig. All pedals are functioning beautifully with no noise. Also, the right angle plugs mean I don't have to disconnect the chain before putting the board in its' travel case, I can leave everything hooked up just like it is.

Digitech Whammy: Versions 1-4 may be powered by output 12 (9Vac) Version 5 or Whammy DT may be powered by outputs 10 or 11. That’s because if the pedal has a higher milliamp draw, you should opt for outputs ranging from 8 to 11. However, to use outputs 10 and 11, you must install a CL6 converter for proper polarity.

As far as tube replacement is concerned, you can get the compliant tubes from the music shop to make sure the amp works well and produces sound. However, if these steps don’t work, you must replace the patch cables. Last but not least, if changing the power cord doesn’t work out, you have to disassemble the unit that’s connected to the cable and make sure its internal components are working well and aren’t burnt.

You can even use the 1 SPOT anywhere in the world without a voltage converter because it automatically converts voltage worldwide. No need to worry about AC hum interfering with your sound either... the 1 SPOT is one of the quietest power sources you can buy. Please note this used to be known as the Visual Sound 1 Spot- the company has now changed its name to Truetone!) The Truetone 1 SPOT is a 9V PSU that only takes up 1 Spot on an outlet strip or wall outlet. The Truetone 1 SPOT solves an annoying problem that people have complained about for years. Only takes up ONE position on your outlet strip or wall outlet. Handles from one to over twenty guitar pedals (1700mA max!) New heavy duty output cable. If your pedal can be powered by a 9Vdc battery, it can be powered by one of the 9Vdc outputs ( an exception being the Boss ACA pedals, see below). In addition to this, you must disconnect the gear from power strips because they are designed with surge suppressors that produce noise in various electronics (try connecting the power supply directly to the power outlet).

Truetone 1 SPOT Slim 9V DC Adapter Features:

The low-profile design of the 1 SPOT Pro CS6 allows it to be mounted under flat pedalboards like the Pedaltrain® Nano and Metro series. However, the compact design is also perfect for mounting on top of pedalboards, serving the dual role of a power supply and pedal riser. This is a great power supply for musicians since it works well with the pedalboard as long as you are careful about the number of pedals. However, the connectivity and performance issues can be easily fixed with cable replacement. The 1 SPOT is the original 9V DC adapter that only takes up one spot on your power strip. With the ability to handle up to 1700mA, the 1 SPOT can power your entire pedalboard. Compatible with Boss PSA, Boss ACA, DOD PS-200R, Morley 9V, Danelectro DA-1, Dunlop ECB-03, Ibanez AC109, Zoom AD-0006 adapters When you connect your audio gear with the power supply, and it starts creating screeching sounds, you should try to run everything on batteries if you don’t have time for a full repair. When you can afford a repair, the only thing you’ve to do is to shift to a 9V adapter.

The Truetone 1 SPOT is guaranteed to work with any equipment that uses one of the following adapters (over 90% of the effects pedals on the market!): Boss PSA, Boss ACA, Danelectro DA-1, DOD PS-200R, Dunlop ECB-03, Ibanez AC-109, Korg A30950, Morley 9V, Zoom AD-0006. With new converter plugs, the 1 SPOT will work with virtually ANY 9V pedal! ...even Line 6 modeling pedals. Will even convert international voltage (100V-240V) automatically; no transformer needed! 3 meter (10') cable is almost twice as long as other adapter cables. Battery Clip Converters, (2) 3.5mm (1/8”) Converters and an L6 Converter for Line 6 modeling pedals Last but not least, if the power supply is constantly overheating, it can also cause connectivity issues. If that’s the case, it’s recommended that you disconnect the power supply from the outlet and let it cool down. In addition, you should never use extension cords and power strips to connect 1 SPOT. If more 9Vdc pedals need to be powered, a MC5 daisy chain (sold separately) may be plugged into any of the 9Vdc outputs depending on mA draw.Since pioneering the first switching power supply for musicians, the original 1 SPOT, we’ve gained many years of experience in creating very low noise power for pedals. When we started designing the 1 SPOT Pro, the first multiple output switching power supply, we worried a lot about how to eliminate noise completely. Isolation is part of the solution to noise elimination, but not all of it. Each output is galvanically isolated from the other to help give you pure, clean, noise-free operation of your pedals. However, we also provided an additional layer of pure analog regulation, taking advantage of the greater ability of analog circuits to provide the highest possible suppression of in-band audio noise. There is an artistry involved in these designs, and it’s come at the price of decades of hard work. But all of this put together is what we call Pure Isolation. Specifications: Line 6 M9, and the modeling pedals (DL-4/MM-4), may be powered by outputs 1 or 2, and will also require the CL6 converter.
