About this deal

The story focus on two suns has vanished for a while ,which spread fear across the entire Ranadon before they showed up again. The meaning of the incident was interpreted into goddess's will by a High priestess. The whole story was about next Shadow of Age will come? Those who discover the secret about the next Shadow of Age will control the entire Ranadon. Belagren the head of the religious sect has some very dark secrets in her past indeed. It was amazing the choices she made and the reasons she made them. I thought Cersei Lanister was bad but Belagren might give her a run for her money. Kirshov a second son of the prince comes off as a fun loving playboy most of the time but in his ignorance he hurts others often. At the age of 20, in 1974, Child entered Law School in Sheffield, England. It is said that he never intended to actually practice law. Upon graduation, he decided instead to get a job in commercial television and joined Granada TV in Manchester. Child would end up working there for 18 years before being fired as a result of “corporate restructuring.” During that time he wrote countless commercials, news stories and trailers. It was 1995 and Child was 40 years old.

The story is partially set in Okinawa and notably includes no character of the island's local inhabitants. The plot takes place solely within the enclave of American military personnel and their family members on the island. [ citation needed] The prince turned away, his attention already on another guest. Dirk watched him smiling and joking, wondering how such evil could exist in such a splendidly benign figure as Antonov Latanya Turf wars, brutal killings and family loyalties, this book has it all. It is set in South West Sydney, in Liverpool, which is about 20 minutes from where I live. It was strange to have a book set so close home, I could see the streets and shops as the story was going along. Thankfully, this is a work of fiction as it is violent. I am sure it all happens, I just hope I never get caught up in it. The novel begins with the execution-style murder of Johnny’s beloved older brother, Ivan, who is fatally shot one dark evening while doing that most mundane (and unglamorous) of domestic duties: putting out the bins. The hitman is thought to be one of the gang’s Serbian rivals. Revenge is on everyone’s mind and police fear this will be the start of an ongoing tit-for-tat gangland war.The writing has a revolting YA feel. It's kinda simplistic, sorta generic, and nothing to write home about, to be shrimpingly honest. Dark, gritty, and full of the kind of characters that are so deliciously complex you don’t know who to root for.’

Yes, the style might be a bit basic but if there is something Fallon is brilliant at, it's storytelling. She weaves a compelling tale, and although the beginning of the book is slightly boring a bit, um, you know, slow and stuff, it's almost impossible to put the book down once you get into the story. Add to that dynamic multiple POVs and Joe Jameson's excellent, lively narration and you get, well, me not DNFing and stuff. Which is quite the miraculous achievement, if you ask me. I found quite a few elements of Fallon’s writing a little too similar to other fantasy authors I have read, although this could be due to fact that I have read so many fantasy books from many different authors. As such I was able to predict a substantial number of the events throughout Lion of Senet leaving little to surprise me. Welcome to Ranadon, a world where two suns bear down on a land of a hazardous nature, where earthquakes and volcanoes are the norm. After an unknown period, one of the suns will disappear and bring about a harsh time known as the Age of Shadows. At the centre of the story is the protagonist Dirk Provin, currently living on the island of Elcast, and when the Lion of Senet, the most powerful man in Ranadon chooses to visit Elcast, Dirks life is about to be turned upside down. I am so impressed with this book. Ryan Sallans begins his life as a female named Kim. Kim is labeled a tomboy. Kim never identifies with her female self. Even when her father calls Kim 'princess' it's more a slander than a term of endearment to her ears. Kim is the child who wants to BE Superman, and there is no room in Superman's life for frills and dresses. I’ve been wanting to finish this one for ages due to my goal of reading more series from female fantasy authors and have finally completed my first Jennifer Fallon read. I was in two minds throughout my experience and this has not changed upon finishing the novel.

I like that the author didn’t pull punches. Not one character is Mary or Gary Stu. Dirk while brilliant in some ways is completely stupidnaïve in others. The Prince Antonov who is basically the main bad guy is really very brilliant but he also so incredibly cruel and possibly guilty over his past so unwilling to accept that he might have made a mistake. Dirk is just fascinating. If I recall correctly, Jennifer Fallon's premise for him was "How many bad things can a character do and still be sympathetic?" That surprised me, because even though he's thinking ten times faster than everyone around him, there's obvious logic in all his decisions and I was rooting for him the whole time. Dirk is my favorite male character under 30.
