Combine the aesthetics of Conan the Barbarian with the sci-fi action of Star Wars for a new line of action figures. The result was Masters of the Universe, a toyline that gave birth to a franchise. Although the line’s popularity was most prominent in the ’80s, the kids who grew up with He-Man and Skeletor’s eternal struggle never forgot. Masters of the Universe continues to grow to this day. The Masters of the Universe Collector’s Choice Snake Mountain Playset stands 36-inches high and opens to a staggering 48-inches wide, making it the most absurdly large Masters of the Universe playset ever made!

The playset is made for 5.5-inch Origins figures for an epic display. Colors and decorations may vary.This 7″ scale figure has a premium sculpt and deco inspired by the New Adventures series. The Skeletor figure contains 30+ points of articulation, a cape, his iconic staff, as well as a removable helmet. It pairs with the spring 2023 release of New Adventures He-Man. For fans 6 years and older. Colors and decorations may vary. This setting however was one of the main locations in all of He-Man lore to never get produced into a playset. There was a concept however by the MOTU classics team, that never came to fruition. Pictured below, you can see the elaborate playset with its multiple platforms with different areas of the exterior of the palace. A landing pad for the Wind Raider, grand staircase for Princess Adora to come down, multiple platforms to place your Royal Guards, a cave to park the Road Ripper and even a working elevator. Yes, this would have been so grand, had Mattel produced it. Skeletor gets his bone throne, and an acid pit base features pegs that can either attach included monsters, or Origins figures torsos to make it look like they’re half-submerged. There won’t be an electronic microphone, but the exterior manacles will now be soft and flexible to fit around figure wrists without breaking. They’re still working on how to recreate the bridge-split feature. Foot pegs and wider walkways allow for more figure display options. The She-Ra: Princess of Power spin-off series reveals in the episode Reunions that during the invasion of Hordak& the Evil Horde, Snake Mountain was used as a Horde base. Eventually the Evil Horde was defeated by the Eternians. Skeletor, who at the time was a member of the Horde and a pupil of Hordak, betrayed Hordak, forcing the Horde leader to flee Eternia and abandon Snake Mountain.
