About this deal

Because of the over saturation of Star Wars on the market, I am always surprised to see something new come out. I mean, really, how much more can we take? And just when I thought I had seen everything, out come the “pods”. Star Wars Fighter Pods is certainly “new” as a product and that is more than enough to get my little geeks excited, but not me. However when I showed my little geeks the toys, screams of excitement were emitted, many jumps up and down were executed, and one little geek even started clapping. Hasbro’s Fighter Pods line was released in the lead up to Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace 3D being released in theaters (February 10 th, 2012). These rubbery micro figures included round pods that the figures could be placed into and shot from vehicle launchers. The following is Hasbro’s official 2012 Toy Fair press release announcing the series: IX: Executor, B-wing, A-wing (1995)". Star Wars Cargo Bay. Lucasfilm. As far as “official rules” go, I don’t think Hasbro thought that far ahead. The way we play the game is letting one player set up their characters on the table and the other player puts their side in the plastic balls. Each character has one roll. After both players have gone, the player who has the MOST character’s standing at the end of both battles wins the game. We go so far as to set up the terrain and add walls. Think “Marbles” and you pretty much understand the game play. Not a very good game, mind you, but you should see how excited the little geeks get! Slavicsek, Bill (1994). A Guide to the Star Wars Universe (rev. and expandeded.). Ballantine Books. p.372. ISBN 9780345386250. Example of some of the micro-miniatures included in the sets - note the Han in Carbonite (is awesome) My little geeks are BIG fans of Star Wars, thanks in large part of their father being an even BIGGER fan of Star Wars. Although, I must admit that I still feel somewhat disfranchised about Star Wars as a whole since the release of Episodes 1 through 3. One day, Lucas will be made to answer for his crimes for letting loose Jar-Jar on the world. One day…The V-wing Fighter or Alpha-3 Nimbus-class V-Wing made its theatrical appearance in the Revenge of the Sith (2005), as the Galactic Republic is formally transformed into the Galactic Empire. Originally, animation director Rob Coleman proposed that TIE Fighters be featured to signify this transition, but George Lucas pointed out that (in the film's chronology) there were nineteen years between the events of Revenge of the Sith and the original Star Wars. Allowing additional time for the TIE fighter to be introduced, a new starfighter was created instead, purposefully similar in both design and sound to the TIE fighter while also resembling the Jedi's Delta-7 starfighter. The TIE interceptor, which made its first appearance in Return of the Jedi, is a sleek update of the classic TIE fighter design. With elongated and split wings, the TIE interceptor is the most threatening-looking of all the Empire's starfighters -- and the fastest. These things were everywhere during the Battle of Endor, and showed that the Empire was still pushing forward in all facets of militaristic domination. a b c "Z-95 Headhunter". Star Wars Databank. Dramatically, it plays a key role in the opening of Revenge of the Sith, as clones dogfight in thrilling fashion above Coruscant, and protect Obi-Wan and Anakin in their mission to rescue to Chancellor Palpatine. Visually, however, is where the ARC-170 truly shines. It's simultaneously original -- bulkier than a typical starfighter, requiring three clone trooper pilots to fully operate the craft -- but also points towards the look of the X-wing, and as a result is a significant aesthetic bridge to the original trilogy.a b "B-wing starfighter (Behind the Scenes)". Star Wars Databank. Lucasfilm. Archived from the original on September 30, 2007 . Retrieved August 25, 2007.

The A/SF-01 B-wing starfighter is a fictional Rebel Alliance and New Republic starfighter. They first appear in Return of the Jedi (1983) and subsequently in the Star Wars expanded universe's books, comics, and games. It is commonly depicted as a heavy strike fighter. A variety of B-wing merchandise has been released by toy companies.Debuting in The Phantom Menace, the droid starfighter is essentially the TIE fighter of the prequel trilogy -- the most identifiable aerial weapon of choice for the Trade Federation and later, the Separatists. Controlled by droid brains, these starfighters are fast, deadly, and require no pilot; they can also land, invert their wings and walk, making them versatile and unique from any other craft on this list -- and it's a feature that gives them an added dimension of creepiness. With a cold, curvy design and bland color scheme that matches the look of battle droids and AATs, the droid starfighter reinforces some of Star Wars' central themes: man versus machine, individuality versus conformity, and democracy versus dictatorship. The Eta-2 Actis-class light interceptors, also known as "Jedi interceptors", made their first theatrical in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005). In the opening space battle, Obi-Wan Kenobi ( Ewan McGregor) and Anakin Skywalker ( Hayden Christensen) pilot Jedi interceptors on a mission to rescue Chancellor Palpatine ( Ian McDiarmid) from General Grievous. The craft's design was purposefully meant to echo the earlier Jedi starfighter and the TIE fighter, while its opening wing panels were influenced by a feature on Hasbro's toy model of the Jedi starfighter. [43] For filming close-ups of the actors, a single full-scale model of the Jedi interceptor was created. Since Obi-Wan and Anakin's interceptors were individualized with their own color schemes, each actor would perform their scenes separately and switch out, allowing the model to be redressed in between. The first chapter of the Star Wars Saga arrives in theatres for the first time ever in 3D starting February 10, and AMC theatres across the country are celebrating the occasion with plans to make opening weekend one for fans and families to remember! An improved successor to the X-wing, the E-wing first appeared in Dark Horse Comics' Dark Empire series. They are one of few Expanded Universe vehicles to be a part of Micro Machines' Action Fleet line. [66] Armed with three Taim & Bak IX9 Medium Laser Cannons and two proton torpedo launchers, the E-wing's aerodynamic frame made the fighter highly maneuverable and exceptional in atmospheric flight. Its Class 1 Hyperdrive allowed for extended reconnaissance missions and rapid strategic redeployment. As part of a larger force, the E-wing filled a versatile mid-range multirole combat aircraft or light torpedo bomber.
