About this deal

Throughout, bland and occasionally awkward language (is "poncy-looking dude" really appropriate for a sixteen-year-old teen from 1993, Bradford?) distract and disinter the more mature reader, but there are a couple of stand out moments:

I'd say that interestingly the main character was about a homeless person not having a good relationship with family and deciding to become homeless. It was interesting because you wouldn't think that many interesting points can come across in this but in actual fact there were. I liked the length of the book - easy for the target audience (teenagers) to read, and digest and easy for me to speed through it when I didn't want to put it down! I liked the protagonist and felt his story and motivations were explained in an interesting, understandable way. I enjoyed seeing the world through his eyes. Stone Cold is the first in a series of nine television films based on Parker's Jesse Stone novels. The film first aired on the CBS television network February 20, 2005. Even though it was broadcast first in the series of films, it actually takes place after the second film of the series, Jesse Stone: Night Passage, which aired a year after this. Easily the best of the first three Camel Club books, while the Annabelle storyline is satisfactory, the story line of Oliver Stone getting confronted by his past life and former boss is quite exciting and explosive. It did give me a satisfactory ending and enough tense moments.

Twists, turns, truths, lies, and some really nasty characters - some new, some not! The Camel Club again is thrown into a fact finding mission, plus they are on the run from someone or a couple of someones wanting them dead! Great read for those that like espionage thrillers. Brianna and Andrew Lincoln are middle-aged thrill killers, independently wealthy from a patent Andrew obtained for an optical scanner he invented while practicing medicine. The couple moved to Paradise and began selecting random people and murdering them while videotaping their crimes. Later they find erotic pleasure in watching the videos of the murders while having sex. Jesse and Luther pay the Lincolns a visit and briefly interview the couple, who show interest in the murders. As they leave, Jesse tells Luther that the Lincolns are the killers.

In 1997, the novel was adapted for a television series of the same title, starring James Gaddas, Peter Howitt and Elizabeth Rider, and produced by Andy Rowley. It was nominated for a Best Children's Drama Award at BAFTA. [2] The short series was shown on Scene. Stone cold is a Novel from 1993, written by Robert Swindells. The subjects in the book are friendships, family troubles, homelessness, love, deceit, mental illness, and many others. Annabelle Conroy, an honorary member of the Camel Club, is also the greatest con artist of her generation. She has swindled forty million dollars from casino king Jerry Bagger, the man who murdered her mother. Now he's hot on her trail with only one goal in mind: Annabelle's death. But as Stone and the Camel Club circle the wagons to protect Annabelle, a new opponent, who makes Bagger's menace pale by comparison, suddenly arises.

Oliver Stone, the leader of the mysterious group that calls itself the Camel Club, is both feared and respected. Keeping a vigilant watch over our leaders in Washington D.C., the club has won some allies, but it has also earned formidable enemies - including some who will do anything to prevent the Club from uncovering the secret work of the government. Stone Cold starts off when Link (not his real name but is what he is referred to) leaves his house after his mother marries an abusive man who treats him badly. Link decides to move to London, and when he fails to find work he becomes homeless. After getting his watch stolen on the first night Link meets a fellow homeless man named Ginger who teaches him how to survive on the streets. One day though Ginger and various other homeless people begin to disappear without reason, Link takes it upon himself to find out what has happened.
