I would pitch Vision Thing somewhere between Depeche Mode with power chords and a less purposefully ugly Ministry. Still play the album. I saw the Sisters on this tour and it was perhaps the last time they sounded consistently good. Have seen them since and they are very hit and miss. A solid album. In the 90s, you wrote for Germany’s Rolling Stone magazine, interviewing David Bowie and Leonard Cohen. Are they heroes of yours?
