About this deal

Suzy didn’t grasp most of what Fletch had said, which only made her more frustrated, and she seized on the one nugget that she felt sure she’d understood. “Railways can’t just appear and disappear overnight,” she said hotly. The hammering sounds stopped immediately, and she heard someone gasp. There was the sound of something heavy being dropped and a sudden scuffle of feet on the hall carpet. Then a rustle and a flap, like bedsheets being folded. Then silence. The creature, whatever it was, stood almost a head shorter than Suzy and wore orange overalls over its squat body. A name tag pinned to its chest read FLETCH. The light in the hallway was on, but looking down the stairs from the landing, Suzy couldn’t see much. The noise was getting louder—too loud for pots and pans, although it was definitely the sound of metal striking metal. She crept down the first few steps and was about to peer through the banisters into the hall when a cascade of orange sparks leaped into the air from somewhere below her, ricocheting off the ceiling and walls. She flinched and almost toppled over, but grabbed the banister just in time. Mom? Dad?” she called, taking a cautious step forward. Something shifted within the tent, and a vague shadow played across the inside of the fabric. “Who’s in there?”

They can when I’m around,” said Fletch with a proud smile. “Fastest in the business me, although, at my age, I’m starting to feel it a bit.” Like other middle grade books, The Train to Impossible Places has the classic theme; the truth will always prevail. I think, being honest to everyone including yourself is the main theme of the book. Other message we can all learn from this book; don’t trust strangers too easily and don’t judge someone based on their rumors. These messages are important for children.

About P. G. Bell

Suzy wasn’t sure, at first, what woke her. She was just awake, in that sudden, surprising way that catches your brain unawares, as though nobody had told it that it had been asleep to begin with.

Book Genre: Academic, Adventure, Childrens, Fantasy, Fiction, Juvenile, Magic, Middle Grade, Railways, School, Trains Fletch sighed, and his shoulders sagged in defeat. “All right, you win. But I hope you realize how much trouble I could get into for this.”i am happy i read it an so glad i finally am reading more middle grade and it was pretty well done overall. Which is why you’re supposed to be fast asleep and leavin’ me in peace,” he said, getting to his feet. “I don’t know how the prep team missed you. They got those other two.” He waved a hand in the direction of Suzy’s sleeping parents in the living room. “They’re normally very thorough.”

I finished this yesterday. It was the the bonus book for the Adventures Through Wonderland readathon. I loved it! It was such a fun adventure to go on w/Suzy & everyone! Wilmot had my whole heart!! Oh my goodness, he was such a great character. I loved him the most. All the trolls were so amazing, & what all they could do. They had so much heart! I loved Trollville!! My favorite place by far! I adored Ursel, Stonker, & Fletch. Every character was just so amazing & well written-even the villains. Of course Suzy was such a great main character! Love strong female characters! There was a twist that I loved. Lady Crepuscula was so creepy! Also-loved all the names in the book! This just gave me all the warm cozy feels, & just happiness. Makes you always remember to believe in the impossible, & how important it is not to just depend on facts, etc. you have to have a little bit of imagination, faith, & magic.💜I highly recommend this! Loving the 2nd book so far as well!💜💜It’s not every day that a magical train drives through your hallway but that’s what happens to Suzy at the opening of this terrific adventure story. She discovers it’s the Impossible Postal Express, responsible for making deliveries throughout the Union of Impossible Places. Being something of a scientist, and deeply inquisitive, Suzy can’t let this opportunity pass and climbs aboard. It’s not long before she’s been deputized as a Postal Operative (by the troll in charge), which in turn embroils her in an even bigger adventure, and one of those magical good versus evil power struggles that are central to all the best fantasy adventures. This rattles along at top-speed and features one of the most varied cast of characters since Hogwarts welcomed young Potter. Fans of magical stories mustn’t miss this train! Fletch puffed his chest out and affected an air of great dignity. “A thousand and ten,” he said. “And still two centuries from retirement.” Sure signs that the creative wells are running dry at last, the Captain’s ninth, overstuffed outing both recycles a villain (see Book 4) and offers trendy anti-bullying wish fulfillment. Look out for the next installment in The Train to Impossible Places series, The Great Brain Robbery, coming October 2019. i loved that we had a science interest girl as a main character that tried to figure out what was going on with her understanding of physics.
