About this deal

This wasn’t a hard sprue to work on, it was actually quite fun in the beginning, having the Killaboss on Great Gnashtoof to work on upfront made it really fun. This is an awesome model and one of the showcase pieces from this set.

First up, I wanted to show off the only variant model in this set. The Gutrippa Boss can also be built as a normal Gutrippa. Though, in fairness, the only difference is that he is wearing a metal helmet. The shield and arm bare little difference to any of the other models. And now it’s time for washes! I wash the gold bits with Agrax Earthshade and the silver bits with Nuln Oil. The Kruleboyz hail from the Ghurish swamplands of Thondia, and the muted tones of their green skin and mud-caked leather clothing are quite unlike anything we’ve seen before. Thankfully, the Citadel Colour team have been on the case, and have created three new Base paints to add to the range that are designed to perfectly match these earthy hues. Base: Orruk Flesh Once all the sprues are out of the way, you’ll find another divider identical to the one on top. Whilst my upper divider was in pristine condition, this one had suffered a little in the box. Unfortunately, this one would not be wall-worthy thanks for a few puncture wounds from the sharper bits of plastic atop it. And this is the mess I mean. The guide would have you get parts 48-52, then 29-30, then 38-42. Or, if you follow it numerically, you’re building J, F, G, E, I, B, D, C, H, A. It’s whatever heresy is in the Age of Sigmar. You get five Vindictors in the Warrior set, but each model can be assembled in one of two ways. Here’s the picture from our Dominion review, which shows each Vindictor partnered up with their variant build. Dominion is full to bursting with glorious Warhammer goodness – two full armies, each with several units, a powerful Leader, and ample support. It also includes the full Core Book with an exclusive cover, plus loads of warscrolls and reference material. This one was a bit more of a pain. I should have just removed most of the push-fit posts on this one and glued him together. They were a bit too tight and with the parts so fragile it was hard not to have large gaps.

I went with Arcane Bolt, and rolled a total of 6, meaning the spell was successfully cast. The Gutrippaz on the right-hand side of the board suffered a Mortal Wound. as these are push-fit, you can (carefully) prise them apart and reconfigure them. but be careful as they do not come apart easily and you can easily damage them. The guide itself 9and I have this complaint with all 3 beginners guides) proved multiple options for some of the models, allowing you to build 1 of your rank and file units as a leader. However, neither this guide nor (as far as I have seen) suggest which is the best configuration for you to have from the start. The Killaboss has the option of a shield or flail for example. As a beginner, you may select whichever one looks cooler, but when it comes to the game you will soon find that your unit loadout has an impact.function stopMenuItems(){if(screenWidth=rScreenWidth(),screenWidth>600&&969>screenWidth)for(ahrefs=document.getElementsByTagName("a"),i=0;i 960?generalAjaxFunction("vid="+e,"showvideo.php","explain"):window.open("https://www.youtube.com/watch?v="+e),!1} In our How to Paint Everything series, we take a look at different armies of the Warhammer universe, examine their history and heraldry, and look at several different methods for painting them. With the recent release of the Dominion boxed set, we’re looking at the two factions involved and how to approach painting them. Building these chaps was easy enough. The sprue gates are put on sensible areas throughout. There is come clean up to be made on the odd curved surface. But it was nice to have all the gaps covered by sensible armour joins.
