If you wish to search for the cheapest tinted colours, always select Price Band 1.We recommend to ensure the surface to be painted is clean, dry, sound and free from any surface contamination such as dirt, oils, grease, mould, mildew, rust, loose or flaking paint etc that are likely to affect the performance of any subsequent coats of paint; to ensure this we advise the following prior to painting, clean down with hot soapy water, rinse with warm water and when dry have a good wipe over with methylated spirits to promote good adhesion. Zinsser Allcoat can be applied by brush, roller or spray. When spraying it may be necessary to thin with 10% water. Instructions for Use - Shake or stir well before using. Apply with synthetic bristle brush, roller or sprayer. For airless spraying, use a .017” tip and high-medium (2000-2500 PSI) pressure. Apply when air and surface temperatures are between 10°-32°C and humidity is less than 85%. Avoid painting in direct sunlight and maintain a “wet edge” to avoid lapping. Ensure conditions during application and cure are favourable, do not apply if there is a likelihood of rain, frost, fog or condensation affecting the freshly applied paint before it has fully cured. Bare Ferrous Metal: product contains a flash rust inhibitor so will not rust the bare metal on application, can be applied direct if the metal is completely rust free, if this is unlikely apply a dedicated anti-corrosive metal primer such as Rust-Oleum 3369/3380 CombiPrimer Anti-Corrosion prior to application of AllCoat Exterior Water BasedProviding you are looking to apply the AllCoat Exterior Satin Water Based to galvanised steel, then two coats may be applied by brush or roller at a coverage rate of approximately 10m2/litre/coat directly onto the bare surface. If this is ferrous steel, then a red oxide or zinc phosphate primer will need to be applied prior to using the AllCoat Exterior Satin. The paint should be applied when the air and substrate temperature is 10°C and rising, relative humidity less than 80%. Ensure there is no risk or rain, fog, frost or condensation from affecting the applied paint before it has had a chance to fully cure.
