It’s not that this is a bad-looking unit for the “music” or “audio” categories. It has clean, sleek lines and clear controls. It’s just that by making it very computer-focused, you’re putting it up against all those other nice PC- or Mac-based peripherals that have been developing their aesthetics for decades now. Next to those, it’s like digital Cinderella’s ugly sister got together with a Casio watch and had a baby. The GT-001 is a convenient wedge-shaped unit that will sit next to your computer with its connections neatly arranged on its end, inputs to the right and outputs to the left.
