After the initial few seconds of citrus opening, Burberry Brit for Men turns out to be peppery and extremely woody on me. Spices mixes very well with the woody notes. The ginger here is quite dry. It’s a beautiful expression that would suit dates in winter, fall, or early spring, with this powdery fragrance providing sophistication that lasts all day and through the night. Woody-orientals exude opulence. The two signatures are extremely complementary, enhancing each other's aromas. The head of this perfume includes bergamot, cardamom, mandarin and galangal. I’ll usually wear it on colder days, but occasionally I will put some on in the evening, as something casual.The fragrance is very affordable, and anyone who is on a budget can definitely acquire the luxurious scent, but basically, it suits young boys. The scent is relatively strong; however, it may last for a shorter time frame. The perfume may take less than 12 hours before one may need to respray it. In the opening, there’s a dash of sour grapefruit, livened up by the fresh spice of ginger and cardamom. Once the fragrance settles, you’re into the warmer, richer elements of amber and tobacco.

The Burberry Brit bottle is square in shape, giving the bottle a shapely finish. The lines and shapes around the bottles give it a pattern, breaking the norm. Brit for Men isn’t a summertime fragrance, though, it can be worn in the more moderate temperatures of spring. Still, much better as a colder climate scent. Where 1 Million wins in terms of projection. 1 Million was my go-to fragrance for the ladies at college, and it’s the sort of scent that can cut through the dancefloor of a busy bar. Burberry Brit is decidedly more subtle and intimate. The wake and strength of the scent in terms of the silage are impressive and balanced. The smell isn’t overpowering and makes it comfortable to wear among crowds. Overall, I really enjoy this stuff. Brit is a great choice for everyday wear in the fall or winter months of the year. It is a solid performer for school or work and safe to use in either environment. It isn’t necessarily a ‘sexy’ type of cologne but it smells damn good and is attractive enough with the ladies. Like Burberry Brit, The One is held together by subtle cedar in the base, which provides some necessary depth and masculinity. There is an air of sweetness within Brit during this stage of the wear, the citrus and tonka bean, seem to be creating that effect. Yet, the cologne overall still has this green outdoorsy cleanliness during this time, as well. Fans of Burberry know that the cologne is breathtaking, which can easily sway and make anyone stand out. It’s always had solid sillage on my skin, consistent, but not a scent bomb. It’s more of a strong starter, then, lighter after a few hours. For much of the wear it’s going to be an intimate kind of cologne. The dry down is the make or break period for most guys with this fragrance, I’d say. The dark powdery rose, isn’t going to be enjoyable for some folks, but it is very well done. Again, it isn’t a super feminine or in your face rose. It’s smoothed out by tonka bean, a cedar base, with the same spices with the ginger, cardamom, and nutmeg notes. What is interesting about Brit is that it contains wild roses but that it doesn’t give off the extreme rosiness of a cologne such as Dunhill Desire. Brit isn’t in any way a loud cologne, I think it really does a fantastic job of taking different elements and working them together in harmony instead of having one dominate feature. If you hate cinnamon, you will 100% hate 1 million. But if you’re looking for something sweet and powerful and enough to appeal to girls and collect compliments, it’s a certified classic.
