The author made it seem like divorcing is so easy, he signed the papers and then boom they are not together. You're literally ending a ten-year marriage. It's not that simple. I know they were filthy rich, but has she ever read anything about any big divorces between rich and known people? If it had been some small town couple with normal problems, it might have been less complicated, but Dom was a damn billionaire, known to many people. And still, he was like "Yeah, we divorced, but it doesn’t change anything." Yeah, it does. For you, it does.It isn't until she's gone that he realizes there may be more to life than riches and glory...but by then, it may be too late. I’ve been looking forward to read their story ever since I read a little bit about them in the previous book in this series. And let me tell you.. This book was even better than I expected. Narration: I loved this book and the heroine is Brazilian like me, so it was a given that I would listen to this one! I applauded Ana Huang's representation of Brazilian culture but I also realized that it would be a hard job for any narrator!

My favorite part of this book was how Ana portrays Ale’s Brazilian heritage. I am HIGHLY critical of authors when they have Brazilian characters and settings and this is absolutely flawless in that respect. She got EVERYTHING right and it made me so happy to see my country and my culture represented so well. Hats off, Ana! and i don’t get what the author was trying to do in the last few chapters with that bank plot and the conflict with Dominic’s brother that came out of nowhere, so unnecessary to the plot. also, i thought the ending would at least be better than the rest of the book, but it wasn’t. it was so abrupt and i didn’t like the time jumps.
We love a good groveling. Look, I know there shouldn't be a comparison between Alex's groveling and Dom's groveling because they're two different situations, but Alex groveled for a year. No, 4-5 months like Dom, and Alex was only Ava's boyfriend, not her partner of eleven years like Dom. one of my most anticipated reads of the year turned into one of my biggest disappointments of the year. beacuse where? It’s unfortunate to say, but famous singer Alex Volvov deserves the groveling king title, and I say this as someone who hated his book.He has everything - a beautiful home, a beautiful wife and more money than he could spend in a lifetime. But no matter how much he accumulates, he's never satisfied.
