I didn't enjoy this book mainly because I hated both main characters and I didn't like the romance at all. The only good part of the book was her best friend and son, and that's it.

but my main (maybe only?) complaint is that this kinda had a Mariana Zapata-style ending. you don’t get to see them much as an actual couple when they finally make it official and i wanted more :( i was definitely a little unsatisfied and it solidified my rating of a solid four stars rather than five. sometimes with a slowburn, you just want a little bit more out of the ending, you know? since you’ve waited so long for them to be together.

i will scream it from the rooftops, every damn time, but 📢 single mum romances >>>>>>>>>>>>>> single dad 📢 allll day everyday, baby. Speaking of algorhythms, I was almost expecting a recommendation for "Wait For It" by Zapata on my paperwhite at the end, this story is truly reminiscent of it, but nope.
