Cherry Juice– in the UK I tend to be able to find this easiest in shops like Lidl or Aldi rather than the big supermarkets. It’s sweet and delicious and a great drink for the summer while sitting in the sunshine or to serve for the 4th of July! One 1.75 liter bottle of vodka (we like Absolut or Svedka for this – you don’t need the most expensive vodka, but do avoid the cheap ones) Depending on where you live in the world and the type of Skittles you buy, the colors of the Skittles may have different flavors!
Vodka that is infused with Skittles is something that you really must try. And it is so ridiculously easy to do! Lemonade– in the UK this is not our regular fizzy lemonade, but the still stuff. Tesco sells a Finest Still Lemonade Juice, and Fentimans Victorian Lemonade is also still. Don’t forget to put a bowl or measuring cup underneath to catch the liquid. If you really don’t want any candy chunks, double filter the drink. The second time, use an even finer strainer, like a mesh coffee filter. When you’ve finished straining, use a funnel to help you carefully pour the infused vodka into bottles for storage. If you’re making a different sized batch, here’s the formula you need to know: I used 70 Skittles to 7 ounces of vodka, which yields about 7-8 ounces of infused vodka.
