About this deal

Time Abyss: Asmodeus outright states that both him and Mammon have been around since the beginning of hell itself, at the very least (and the implication is that the other Sins are just as old). This means that they are easily some of the oldest beings in the series. How old exactly they are have not been spelled out, but considering Hell as a concept is several thousands of years old they have to be around that age, if not older. Thanks to Claptrap, Crymini finally gains access to PLUTO and is informed by Baxter to destroy Karen's servers around the Sloth Ring. Crymini and Niffty each take control of PLUTO, using its missiles to destroy Karen's servers. The destruction of the servers severely affects Karen's functionality as she begins to lose influence and control with each destroyed server. With only one server left to destroy, Karen, knowing her end is near, emotionally says her goodbyes to her creator, requesting that he build a giant statue to honor her once the children have been experimented on and Belphe-Tech ruled the Universe. After Karen's final server is destroyed, she tells Belphegor to remember her and that she will miss him as she meets her end and goes offline. Fully subverted by Season 2, where it's shown that Asmodeus' relationship with Fizzarolli behind the scenes is completely genuine, tender and loving. He even fervently opposes the idea of love potions, believing that lust is something that should be consenting and mutually enjoyed. For as much as he is the Sin of Lust, he just as much embodies and enjoys the concept of love. Adaptation Species Change: Beelzebub is usually depicted with fly-like traits (since the name literally means "lord of the flies") instead of a bee-fox hybrid.

Belphegor: (gets onto his hover chair) I HAVE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TO DO THAT FOR ME. YOU USED TO ENJOYABLE COMPANY, PRINCE STOLAS... UNTIL YOUR FAMILY CAME ALONG. Uptown Girl: Both Asmodeus and Beelzebub are Sins, yet are in romantic relationships with demons far below them in rank — far enough for it to be scandalous. Truer to the Text: Ironically, among the Seven Deadly Sins shown so far, Mammon is the one who most behaves like how people would expect an embodiment of sin to behave; reveling in it to the limit without regard for propriety or personal standards. He'll do anything if he thinks he'll make money off of it, including simultaneously marketing Fizzarolli as a childrens' entertainer and a sex symbol. Abusive Parents: He sees himself as Fizzarolli's father figure and he financially and emotionally abuses him for his own ends. He even claims that he raised Fizz like "the son I didn't want." Belphegor: NOT NECESSARY. THEY ARE MERE CHILDREN. YOUNG, INEXPERIENCED... VULNERABLE. PRINCESS CHARLOTTE HAS BROUGHT THEM HERE FOR SHELTER. BUT SHE DOES NOT COMPREHEND THAT SHE IS BREAKING THE LEGISLATIONS OF HELL. ...I WISH TO USE THEM AS TEST SUBJECTS.

Having thought about his expulsion from Heaven, Belphegor considered the practical uses of sharing his inventions with everyone else, not to help others, but to encourage inactivity and laziness. Under Belphegor's reign, Sloth became a ring for luxury and convenience, as well as the most futuristic and technologically advanced of the seven rings. Through his newly founded company Belphe-Tech, he invented millions of sentient artificial intelligence and other electronics which were created to cater to the every whim of the denizens of Sloth as a way to make his subjects depend on them for everything, and required all of his subjects (excluding Hellhounds) to use hoverchairs instead of walking. He also mass marketed his technology and weapons all across Hell, resulting in him accumulating immense wealth, which allowed him to upgrade his inventions to become more advanced and intelligent while keeping his best inventions to himself along the way.

Imp City • I.M.P Headquarters • Stolas's mansion • Moxxie and Millie's apartment • Blitzo's apartment • Andrealphus's mansion • Richest Cup Mammon has a storm motif, his body discharging electricity and emitting storm clouds when he lashes out at Fizzarolli. Stolas: (grimacing) Alright. If you have nothing of value to say, then I kindly request you to leave. Do you not have more important matters to attend to in your ring? Broken Pedestal: For Fizzarolli as of the end of Mammons Magnificent Mid-Season Special (ft. Fizzarolli) as the latter becomes weary of how toxic Mammon is to be around. It's implied he was also one for Blitzo, after he spent his savings on a complete fiasco of a Mammon show and apparently saw "right through [his] bullshit".

Third Circle (Gluttony)

Belphegor: IS THIS SOME INANE ATTEMPT TO ANNOY ME? DO YOU INTEND TO DRIVE ME CRAZY UNTIL I RELEASE YOU? IT WILL NOT WORK ON ME. MY AFOREMENTIONED SYNTHETIC BRAIN IS IMMUNE TO YOUR SILLY GAMES. Adaptation Name Change: Downplayed. In most writings of the character, the pathological demon of gluttony is named "Beelzebub". While the name remains the same, it's primarily stylized as "Bee-Lzebub" instead, separating the name and focusing on the first part as part of her overall bee motif. Meanwhile, Lugnut and Claptrap were attempting to lead the children through an underground tunnel to get them to safety. As Karen alerted all of Belphe-Tech's combat droids to their location, Belphegor sent his Scavenger Units to the tunnel system where they cornered Lugnut, Claptrap, and Charlie's Angels. After Karen finished taunting Lugnut and Claptrap, one of the King of Sloth's servants alerted his master that an unidentified flying object had entered Sloth and was heading towards Belphegor's facility. The aircraft turned out to be the spaceship of Baxter, who Lugnut and Claptrap had alerted of the childrens' status. With Crymini piloting the ship and Niffty in control of the ships weapon system, Baxter left to aide Lugnut and Claptrap in escaping. After Karen sent an army of Scavenger Units made from nanotechnology to deal with Baxter's crew, Belphegor again complimented Karen on her intelligence and forethought, causing her to smile. Belphegor: A CHAINSAW IS A TOOL TO RIP AND TEAR AND DESTROY, LIKE A HELLHOUND WOULD. DO I LOOK LIKE A PRIMITIVE BEAST TO YOU?

Too Much Information: Her brief conversation with Loona is rambling and loaded with oversharing, which doesn't do much to put Loona at ease. Despite his cold demeanor, he was not without his own quirks and eccentric behavior. This included a fondness for potato chips and I-Scream, taking a nap following any inconvenience (no matter how miniscule), randomly falling asleep whenever someone was explaining something to him, and dancing bombastically to Verosika Mayday's songs in his private quarters. He was also an avid gamer, being a particular fan of the Super Satan Adventures trilogy as well as Lucifer Kart 666. In "Retribution", Karen manages to capture Charlie's Angels and seemingly sends Lugnut and Claptrap to their doom by summoning a tractor beam that sent them to a Belphe-Tech scrapping factory. When a Karen Unit attempted to remind its master that Belphegor had wanted Lugnut and Claptrap operational, Karen silenced the mercenary and said that Belphegor would not care about Lugnut and Claptrap's fates when he saw that Karen captured Charlie's Angels. Karen and her mercenaries then returned to Belphegor's base with the captured children.

First Circle (Limbo)

One-Winged Angel: Each Sin we've seen thus far has the ability to shift into a more monstrous form whenever they're sufficiently pissed off, each one gigantic compared to other denizens of Hell, their teeth becoming sharper, and their voices taking on a deeper pitch and echo effect. Oblivious to Hatred: Evidently was not aware of the fact that Fizz had pent up resentment toward him until he quit. Even when Fizz is singing a whole song about how much he hates Mammon, and making it fairly obvious that it's about him, along with Asmodeus directly telling him it's about him, Mammon happily claps along until Fizz directly name drops him...near the end of the song. Karen: Ahhh, let's forget about those little pests for just a moment. You've been practically obsessing over them all week! It'll only cause a significant rise in cortisol, norepinephrine-

Asmodeus's heads and hands are engulfed in flames, his tail feathers turn into fire, and his remaining two heads take on a more demonic visage. According to the " Verosika's Hell Tour" shirt merchandise, the Sloth Ring has a location called "Dreamsville". [3] [4] However, it is currently not known whether the information listed on the shirt is canon in the show. Demon Lords and Archdevils: She's one of the Seven Deadly Sins that rule over the rings of Hell, putting her in the same weight class as Asmodeus. Belphegor never leaves his fortress for anything, choosing instead to send a hologram drone to locations where he is needed, like a video call. Punny Name: Her name is a play on the original name of demon prince Beelzebub, meaning "Lord of the Flies", and emphasizes the "Bee" part of her name by including a dash. This helps to signify that she is a bee-fox hybrid.Even Evil Has Standards: As Embodiment of Vice they are all for others indulging in their representative vices, but from what we have seen among the focused sins, only as long as it's for the right reasons and are not hurting themselves or others. Mammon appears to be the exception, as he's only focused on himself instead of others indulging in his sin and he has very few standards to how he goes about it. Belphegor: (he is head-banging in a chair to Verosika Mayday's music until Karen comes in; embarrassed, he scrambles for the remote) NOT NOW, KAREN. Shortly after the War in Heaven, Belphegor was exiled from the sacred dimension not because he joined Lucifer, but because he did not care about the war and did nothing to help Heaven heal and rebuild from the destructive conflict. Belphegor: THAT IS A HYPNOTIC SERUM USED TO SEDATE THE DOGS AND, IN HIGH DOSES, TO EUTHANIZE THEM, THOUGH... I HAVE YET TO TEST ITS EFFECT ON IMPS... The rings that have appeared, so far, are the Pride, Greed, Wrath, Lust, Sloth, and Gluttony Rings. The names of the seven rings share the same names as each of the infamous Seven Deadly Sins.
