On its own, the SVS Ultra Bookshelf will deliver excellent sound with a level of detail and accuracy that you will love. It handles bass quite well, but you can just add a subwoofer if you like a more powerful bass. Overall, however, you get a pretty balanced sound with a lot of dynamic potential. When I played Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers’ “Down Under”, the peaks and valleys of Art’s unmistakable swing and cadence were lively and involving. The SVS and Norma combination successfully conveyed the energy and excitement of upbeat jazz.SVS is an American audio company known mainly for its subwoofers, one of which I recently had the pleasure of reviewing.
