About this deal

USS NOG ( Discovery #14) — An Eisenberg-class vessel fielded by Starfleet in the far future of the 32nd century, the sleek USS Nog survived the Burn that destroyed so many ships of its class. It served to help conceal the embattled Federation Headquarters, generating a distortion field large enough to obscure its location. McMahan says the actual size of the Cerritos is, of course, bigger than the show implies, but part of that is because the narrative has to maintain a balance with the in-universe specs. Mike McMcMahn says: “When animate things in space, anything is the size you want depending on where it is and where the camera is.” Paramount+

I think logistically, the idea of dumping all 400 of them in one go was just a complete nightmare and would have been really difficult for everybody. The idea of doing it 25 at a time is to keep it reasonable and to give people a chance. Vaguely reminiscent of the Galaxy-class Enterprise-D from Star Trek: The Next Generation, the Cerritos is intended to look a little odd while simultaneously recalling the aesthetics of Trek's 1990s heyday. She's the kind of starship a 90s kid might draw on lined paper in the school library while everyone else is playing four square on the playground... but we're not talking about anybody in particular here. Star Trek: Discovery Starships at YouTube – official YouTube channel with model turnaround videos (live, but no longer maintained) For those of you who may have missed it, Eaglemoss / Hero Collector have also expanded into two other well-loved space franchises in recent months — Stargateand The Expanse— and the company has revealed the first two ship models for each of those product lines so far. USS Reliant – 1:350– something Round 2 would love to do, but they don’t feel they have the references to do it right. They do not have access to the studio model and no one has been able to provide the references they need. All parts of this ship are different from the Refit Enterprise. In Visitor’s announcement video (which you can watch at the link above), there are a number of Trek actors spotted (including her DS9 co-stars Terry Farrell, Nicole de Boer, Penny Johnson Jerald, along with Discovery’s Mary Chieffo) — plus a number of behind the scenes contributors like writers, stunt women, and more all being interviewed for the project. Still in the works, A Woman’s Trek — From Uhura to Burnham: Star Trek’s Female Stars on Six Decades of Change and Empowerment will include interviews conducted by Visitor herself, allowing readers to hear from Star Trek actors and writers from throughout franchise history, along with other authors, NASA scientists, and more. Naboo Starfighter reissue– planned for 2023. CultTVman will have further details when they are available

Space:1999 Moon Buggy/Amphicat – 1:24 scale kit – Model can be built as either the Moon Buggy or Amphicat. Comes with detailed drive train. Will include figures and cargo. Details TBA The USS Nog was named for the Starfleet officer Nog – the first Ferengi to enter Starfleet, and a prominent figure on the Deep Space 9 station. A historical figure by the time of the 32nd century, Nog was remembered for his feats during the Dominion War won him lasting renown. Space:1999 Metamorph Eagle Transporter – 1:72 scale.– This will be the 14″ Eagle with a lab pod and boosters. Release date TBA As of this writing, beyond “2022,” no specific release date has been set for A Woman’s Trek (since it’s still being written!) but as soon as we know more about when you’ll be able to read Visitor’s tantalizing new book, we’ll share that news with you here. Behind the scenes, the Eisenberg-class was named for Aron Eisenberg – the actor who portrayed Nog on ‘Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.’While fans have wondered what’s taken so long, the crew at Eaglemoss/Hero Collector needed time to translate the animated VFX files for the two starship from their original form into a design that could be successfully produced in real life — in a way that faithfully replicates the ships as seen on-screen.

Star Wars Tyderium – original molds do not exist anymore. Something they will consider with other popular Star Wars subjects. If you want [a certain ship in the Master Replicas sale], this is probably your best chance to buy it. I think it’s pretty clear that there are lots of ships where we did that were really obscure, that nobody’s going to make again.”

The following kits have been openly discussed and some are under consideration. Others are not. None of them have been officially announced and so anything in this section should be considered speculation. Keep in mind that there are limits to what can be produced in any given year and that has to be divided among the major licenses (Star Trek, Star Wars, Gerry Anderson, etc). They will list 25 products at a time, every two weeks. I think the good thing about that is that people don’t have to find hundreds and hundreds of dollars in one go to try and get anything that they’re missing. Rather than clip-on struts to display the free-floating warp nacelles — like on the Discovery-A and Voyager-J models— the USS Nog’s display stand simply has a ‘shelf’ which allows the two nacelles to be placed on either side of the organically-shaped primary hull of the vessel. USS Alhambra • USS Anaheim • USS Burbank • USS Carlsbad • USS Cerritos • USS Culver City • USS Eureka • USS Fresno • USS Inglewood • USS Merced • USS Mount Shasta • USS Oakland • USS Pacific Palisades • USS Redding • USS Riverside • USS Rubidoux • USS Sacramento • USS San Clemente • USS San Diego • USS San Jose • USS Santa Monica • USS Sherman Oaks • USS Solvang • USS Vacaville • USS Vallejo • USS West Covina • Unnamed

Book series: A Celebration • Designing Starships • Graphic Novel Collection • Nerd Search • Shipyards • Illustrated HandbookRound 2 had a lot of news to share this year at Wonderfest with several all new kits announced, as well as updates on previous announcements and reissues. Jamie Hood also hosted a Q & A session on Saturday and hosted a podcast on Sunday. On stardate 57601.3, the Cerritos was called to Mixtus III to assist the USS Vancouver with the controlled implosion of an unstable moon that threatened the population. Besides providing assistance in terms of manpower, Captain Freeman was also instrumental in helping Mixtus inhabitants to reach mutually acceptable solutions that allowed the implosion to go forward.
