About this deal

Just what I needed! We have a classic “hifi” with a quality DAC (as everyone should) but all the old sources (CD) are gone. Now I drive everything from Apple devices through iTunes/Music. But how? Until now, over wifi to a 15-year old Apple TV box. But Apple has discontinued any support for that usage model and it is done with me. So now what? Making this top quality Bluetooth DAC even better, the 4.4mm balanced output is yet another standout feature at this price. More usually found in studio equipment, the balanced connection gives vanishingly low levels of noise interference and crosstalk, for professional quality sound. If your amp or mixer is equipped with a balanced input, this is the connection to use. Please note: TV and larger floorstanding speaker deliveries are not available to Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Scottish Islands, and Channel Islands. In the vast majority of cases we will not be able to install the cabinet doors to built-in laundry products as the fittings very rarely match up. We will try our best however if we are unable to do this we will still install connect to plumbing and put the appliance in situ. Armed with a Huawei P30 Pro smartphone, I took advantage of aptX HD as well as HWA. My review sample was plugged into an Anthem STR integrated amplifier via its RCA analogue outputs, as well as an Oppo UDP-205 disc player via its coaxial input to make use of the player's highly regarded DAC. I have tested a range of aptX HD headphones and components, such as Naim's Uniti Atom for instance, and so am aware how much of a difference the post-nominal HD can make when appropriately used, and this little iFi unit does just that.

Yes, I had the channels reversed in this test. Can't be perfect all the time after stringing multiple cables and adapters to make this measurement! I output coaxial digital audio from the Zen Blue into and Arcam irDAC. The richness, clarity and presence of the sound is undeniable!
