About this deal

If there is something I would have wanted it would have been a little more precise settings on the speaker for room treatment. I have it set on max boost on the low frequencies and max decrease on the highs. And I think I would have turned them even more if I had the chance. I guess I just have to treat my room a little more but I am satisfied with the sound now This is why most A-class brands (like SVS, Bang & Olufsen, etc) often come up with room correction features, adjusted either manually or automatically. The EQ adapts itself to the placement (room, corner, center, etc) for a better (deeper and more accurate) sound. Which is great.

Focal’s Alpha 65 brings you a 6.5” woofer and a 40-22,000 Hz frequency response. The frequency response of these monitors isn’t quite as wide as the other studio monitors on this list. However, sub frequencies should be handled by a subwoofer anyways, while the linear response of frequencies between 20-20,000 Hz is arguably more important than a speaker’s maximum frequency value. You can learn how to properly set up a studio subwoofer here. But once that is something you get used to, it’s not a deal-breaker at all. All three speakers are not too harsh in the mids and highs and relatively compact and responsive in low mids and basses, even at extended listening. This is why Spinorama was apparently groundbreaking news for audio industry. Hence in the mid-late 2010's, most brands and magazines began publishing Spinorama measurements, despite the challenges of making such measurements. Even for more modern EDM, Hip-Hop, or classical music with deeper bass, it delivers all you need without needing a subwoofer for near-field monitoring. The Adam Audio T7V is a small yet powerful, two-way, high-performance studio monitor that produces optimal, accurate audio and designed for vertical use in a nearfield application. The Class D amplifiers, provide 20W power to the tweeter and 50W to the woofer. The lightweight polypropylene construction of the woofer also aids in highly accurate sound quality.Switching between the T7Vs and our regular ATC monitoring systems (SCM100A mains and SCM25A mid-fields), showed the ADAMs to be basically tonally accurate, with only the faintest hint of bass bloom. Many users will prefer this presentation as it more faithfully mimics the sonic character of much domestic audio equipment; these users would likely find the smaller T5Vs a little lean. The T7V monitor offers extremely high performance, producing 110dB SPLs per pair. This is provided by the integrated new Class D amplifiers delivering 20W power to the tweeter, and 50W power to the woofer. Delivering excellent transient response and a high dynamic range, the studio monitor provides you with accurate audio. The monitor offers a wide frequency range, with a U-ART tweeter that provides you with a much wider sweet spot. This ensures you can hear the same frequencies when you move around your desk. The small footprint of the monitor ensures it can fit easily into any workspace. Versatile connectivity The T7V Studio Monitor features two 3-way fine-tune switches that allow you to boost or cut high/low frequencies, enabling you to tailor the monitor to the room and position it's in. The fine tune controls, combined with high performance, wide frequency response, and a wide sweet spot ensure accurate sound, allowing you to produce professional results. Because, other parameters such as the age/materials of the building, furniture/windows in place also have an impact on room acoustics. The T5V’s cabinet houses a 5in woofer alongside Adam Audio’s unusual-looking U-ART 1.9in ribbon tweeter, and there are dedicated internal Class-D amplifiers for each driver, with 20W driving the tweeter and 50W for the woofer. Each speaker is powered by a single IEC kettle lead.

ADAM Audio monitors have earned a worldwide reputation as the preeminent tool for sound engineers based on cutting-edge technological innovations established in the field of loudspeaker technology. The T Series continues this tradition, incorporating some of ADAM's most sought-after technology from thecritically acclaimed S Series speakers. The highs and the mids are detailed, balanced, and ample. What they are not, though, is neutral. This is not the flattest response you can get in studio monitors. They do color the sound a little with the signature ADAM timbre. One reason why the T5V sounds so good is that the design uses a waveguide. This small scooped-out region around the tweeter helps to integrate the treble frequencies with that of the woofer below and, as a result, the sound reflected off walls and ceilings sounds very similar to what comes directly out of the speaker. This means that the character of the sound – the balance between bass, mid-range and treble frequencies – remains as consistent and balanced as possible at the listening position.

These are some amazing studio monitors for the price I have to say. The sound is very clear and punchy. Low end is tight and sub heavy, highs are crisp and smooth. I have been using these for about a month now and I'm pretty happy with them. The build quality is decent as well. But they do have some things that I really dislike in terms of design itself. The wide frequency response, high dynamic range, excellent transient response, wide sweet spot and small footprints make the T7V perfectly suited for use in small control rooms for music production, video post-production and broadcast production – a great fit for the modest budgets that many facilities need to work with. Firing up the ADAMs and playing some familiar material, I was immediately reminded of what impressed me so deeply about the smaller T5Vs. The treble response is superb, sounding clean and fast with plenty of presence and air. Transients are reproduced with trip-hammer precision yet the presentation is unforced and natural sounding. Explore our collection and discover the unparalleled quality and advanced technology that ADAM Audio delivers in their active studio monitors. Whether you’re a burgeoning music producer or a professional mixing engineer, there’s a set of ADAM Audio monitors that wil enhance your creativity and listening experience.

The source code under Pierre Aubert's work is licensed under GPL (General public license). He didn't perform any of the measurements himself, and instead he compiled all of them into one place, so that makes sense.Featuring a 7” woofer that provides bass extension down to 39 Hz, the T7V's U-ART tweeterdiaphragm provides pristine and extended high-frequency response up to 25 kHz, which isvirtually unheard of in studio monitors at this price-point. The 7" polypropylene woofer and rear-firing bass reflex port deliver tight, controlled low end response. Powered by a 50w low end amplifier, it offers the perfect balance of smooth bass against the detailed top end of a ribbon tweeter. Exactly what you need for a balanced mix that translates well onto other systems. At this point, I thought that if there was a tool that combined both the Spinorama with the room acoustics data, it'd be extremely useful. The U-ART tweeter is fitted to a precision waveguide with the same dispersion-control attributes as the High Frequency Propagation (HPS) waveguide used in ADAM Audio’s flagship S Series studio monitors. The waveguide’s highly uniform dispersion of high frequencies provides an incredibly wide sweet spot that frees you from being glued to a rigid mix position while working. Powerful Projection

It allows you to compare the performances of different speakers before even laying your ears hands on them. The speaker monitor features a range of controls that allows you to fine-tune the audio to suit your environment, which includes gain and cutting high or low frequencies. There are several connection options, including 3.5mm and ¼-inch XLR and RCA balanced and unbalanced inputs that allow you to connect the speakers to a variety of sources.

Playing David Bowie’s Ashes To Ashes, which I’d also tried on the smaller ADAMs, I noticed greater depth of sound-stage, the T7Vs having an almost holographic quality. This cavernous character is something of a double-edged sword, being quite inviting and seductive, yet also robbing the monitor of immediacy and some midrange punch. At GAK, we take pride in offering an extensive range of ADAM Audio products, catering to the needs of both professional audio engineers and passionate music enthusiasts. Our selection of ADAM Audio studio monitors, subwoofers and headphones showcases the brand’s commitment to innovation and exceptional sonic fidelity. The U-ART tweeter is fitted to a precision waveguide with the same dispersion-control attributes as the High Frequency Propagation (HPS) waveguide used in ADAM Audio’s flagship S Series studio monitors.
