About this deal

When booting up Destiny 2 for the first time, you will be directed to speak with Benedict 99-40 in the Tower to begin An Imperial Summons. Benedict 99-40 is in a new location, he can now be found in the Annex of the Tower. In the middle we see two noble, armoured figures - again I think these are Cloudstriders, especially because there’s two of them - pushing against an eye-shaped thing. Currently, the best strategy for the activation plates is to split your six-person fireteam into two teams of three. One team handles the left and one team handles the right. Each team will have Guardian A, Guardian B, and Guardian C. Guardians A and B will work the activation plates on one side of the Royal Pools. Guardian C will retrieve the Psionic Protection buff from the orb in the middle room, and then swap with Guardian A. Guardian A will head to the middle-room orb and snag the Psionic Protection buff again, then replace Guardian B on their plate. Guardian B will head to the middle-room orb, get the Psionic Protection buff again, and then replace Guardian C. Continue to rotate in this manner until you hit the next phase of the encounter. Stun Caiatl by shooting the bell she runs to. Stand beside bell when doing this to get a damage buff. Repeat all steps until Caiatl is defeated.

You can even see Calus desperately grasping at anything that might make him happy throughout the campaign. When you first reach the seal, you will see one of three symbols replace the sun insignia. Each floating icon corresponds to a banner that must be claimed from a nearby spawn. The best way to accomplish this challenge is to split into two teams, either 3 & 3 or 2 & 4. All of these empty things are as empty as he has always been. And he doesn't like what he sees. He doesn't like being forcefully confronted with his hollow heart. And this is all without even going into the famous scene where the Witness tells Calus straight to his face that he fears to have a purpose, and that is why he fails and is weak. Is it any wonder then why Calus actually angrily snaps at the Witness upon being told this? As a reward, you’ll earn an Imperial Treasure Map. Go to the location marked on your map and open the chest to earn a Rune. Go out into the large room, defeat the Cabal, and cross the gap to the other side. Find another bell in the side hallway through some pipes. Runefinder: Increases the chances of finding Chalice runes in strikes, Crucible matches, and Gambit matches. Allied Guardians who also have the buff active increase everyone’s odds of earning runes.

And instead, being a Disciple meant work. It meant being a lapdog for the Witness. It meant giving up his power, not paracausal power as he obviously gained a ton of it, but his ability to choose for himself and he ended up becoming a servant. It meant no longer being the main character, which Calus had always seen himself as being, and becoming an extension for the Witness. A tool to be used and then discarded. After sending the invitation to his Leviathan to the very same Guardian responsible for killing Ghaul and awakening The Traveler, the Guardian accepted the invitation and completed Calus' various challenges aboard the planet-devouring vessel. Eventually, the Guardian met what turned out to be a robotic copy of Calus, where the two proceeded to do battle (with the robotic Calus assisted by various Loyalists, War Beasts, and Psions). After the Guardian's victory over the robotic copy, Calus offered the Guardian and their fireteam the chance to learn the very same power that he had learned, and to grow "fat from strength", and rewarded the fireteam with various treasures as well. After completing The Gauntlet, return once again to the Castellum to find the last door you need to access. You’ll need to once again complete the Banner event, with one team eliminating enemies and Standard Bearers and another protecting the door seal from Standard Liberators. Collect all three banners to advance to Calus. So, who shoots which button? Again, let's assume that the course runner called out War Dog and top. My fireteam handles it by having you always shoot the lower button while on your plate, and always shooting the higher button when assisting with a fireteam member's plate. I would shoot the bottom War Dog button, and my teammate would shoot the middle War Dog button, causing the buttons to turn green, and thus allowing the course running to grab the orb and go through. The orb prevents the Psionic Charge from exploding and kill the course runner. Because he had crafted a fantasy for himself and deluded himself into thinking the Witness and the rank of Disciple were something they weren't. If we remember the Chronicon, that infamous lore book that is literally all fanfic written by Calus and his historians, we know what Calus wanted his end to look like. The Heroic version of the Menagerie is now live, which is understandably more challenging. The Power requirement is now between 750 and 770 and you must enter with a pre-made fireteam. During some looks of Disciple Calus that we have seen, his skin - especially on his hands and feet - is golden. This could just be an aesthetic choice, indicating his grasp and what he’s touched and been touched by - an equivalent to the Darkhold’s smokey fingers in the MCU. A people uplifted by both powers. Certainly an appealing prospect and something we've not considered before.
