About this deal

Demogorgon also appears as a character in Percy Bysshe Shelley's Prometheus Unbound. In this lyrical drama, Demogorgon is the offspring of Jupiter and Thetis who eventually dethrones Jupiter. It is never mentioned whether Demogorgon, portrayed as a dark, shapeless spirit, is female or male. The theory of Demogorgon's name originating from Greek demos and gorgos may be the foundation for its use in this text as an allusion to a politically active and revolutionary populace. [12] Shelley's allusions to the French Revolution further support this. [ original research?] If a Survivor was already suffering from Exhaustion prior to Mindbreaker affecting them, the Status Effect's timer will be paused and not recover for the duration of the Repair action. Demogorgon also is mentioned in the Book II of the epic poem El Bernardo written in Mexico by Bernardo de Balbuena and published in Spain in 1624. The passage tells how the fairy, "Alcina", visits Demogorgon in his infernal palace:Joe Keery was extremely wary when using the bat with nails around Mark Steger, due to him having limited sight and movement while in-costume. Demogorgon, his realm and his cult are described in great detail in Dragon Magazine #357, p.20-32, and appears on the cover of that issue. The platform game Roblox contains a costume based on Stranger Things' Demogorgon. It was added in 2021 as part of a limited-time Stranger Things collaboration. [29]

Demogorgon rules the Gaping Maw, the 88th layer of D&D's The Abyss plane. Much of the Gaping Maw is underwater, fought over between the aboleths, krakens, and ixitxachitl all loyal to Demogorgon. Parts of Demogorgon's home are above water, including Lemoriax, the layer's city which serves as one of the multiverse's premier slave markets.Ed Stark, James Jacobs, Erik Mona (June 13, 2006). If the target is a cre Scientists at Hawkins Lab began investigating the dimension, discovering exactly what it contained. One such scientist entered through the Gate, wearing a hazmat suit linked to a chain rope. The scientist was savaged and killed by the Demogorgon almost immediately after entering the dimension. The Demogorgon hunted and killed other people and creatures, being particularly lured by blood. Its victims included Barbara Holland, hunters Dale and Henry, and a wounded deer. After Nancy Wheeler entered the Upside Down through a temporary portal, she observed the Demogorgon as it feasted on the deer. The Demogorgon noticed her, chasing her until she returned through the portal. Mike Mearls, Jeremy Crawford (2014). Player's Handbook 5th edition. ( Wizards of the Coast), p. 109. In time, the tanar'ri rose up and overthrew their obyrith rulers, with the demon lords Graz'zt and Orcus warring with each other to claim the ultimate title of Prince of Demons. The forgotten Demogorgon suddenly rose from forgotten depths and slew countless tanari'ri lords. The remaining tanar'ri—even Graz'zt and Orcus, their forces depleted by fighting each other—were forced to accept Demogorgon as the new Prince of Demons. [1] Ancient history [ ]

The Demogorgon featured in Dead by Daylight was modelled after the Demogorgon seen in a post-credit scene of the last episode of Stranger Things' Season 3, with Netflix providing the Developers with their model. He currently holds Malcanthet, Queen of Succubi, as his consort. Among their monstrous offspring is the horrific demon Arendagrost. He imprisoned his previous lover, the succubus Shami-Amourae, in the Well of Darkness for all eternity. Still, even though he’s a more subtle enemy than you’d expect with a challenge rating of 26, fighting Demogorgon head on is the kind of thing that only very powerful (and/or very stupid) parties of adventurers choose to do.Perched atop this monstrosity are twin baboon heads named Aameul and Hathradiah, their eyes lit from within by smoldering hellfire. Both of Demogorgon's heads have their own agents who work against each other. Among those is the Cathezar, an exceptional half-demon, half-devil creature in the service of Aameul, and Nurn, a rogue death slaad working for Hethradiah. Demogorgon casts the darkness spell four times at its lowest level, targeting different areas with the spell. All Demogorgons encountered thus far are assumed to obey the Mind Flayer and by extension Vecna, and make up part of the Upside Down's hive mind. Under the hive mind’s influence, Demogorgons are murderous, violent and have limited intelligence. James Jacobs (July 2007). “ The Demonomicon of Iggwilv: Demogorgon: Prince of Demons”. Among Demogorgon's most powerful servants and generals are Gorgant the Two-Faced, an aspect of Demogorgon himself; Major Enderan, a unique demon served by undead stone giants; General Bagromar, a clone of Hethradiah; and the balor Dingoslag.

Demogorgon appears in D&D 3.5's Fiendish Codex I: Hordes of the Abyss (2006), p.61-63, this time as a CR 23 creature. It is clarified that Aameul is the left head, and Hethradiah the right. Regenerative Healing Factor: After being trapped and set on fire, the Demogorgon appeared to have healed most of its injuries after a short period of time. A hundred miles offshore lies Abysm, the two serpentine towers of Demogorgon which descend into the sea below.
