Demogorgon also appears as a character in Percy Bysshe Shelley's Prometheus Unbound. In this lyrical drama, Demogorgon is the offspring of Jupiter and Thetis who eventually dethrones Jupiter. It is never mentioned whether Demogorgon, portrayed as a dark, shapeless spirit, is female or male. The theory of Demogorgon's name originating from Greek demos and gorgos may be the foundation for its use in this text as an allusion to a politically active and revolutionary populace. The Demogorgon featured in Dead by Daylight was modelled after the Demogorgon seen in a post-credit scene of the last episode of Stranger Things' Season 3, with Netflix providing the Developers with their model. He currently holds Malcanthet, Queen of Succubi, as his consort. Among their monstrous offspring is the horrific demon Arendagrost. He imprisoned his previous lover, the succubus Shami-Amourae, in the Well of Darkness for all eternity. Still, even though he’s a more subtle enemy than you’d expect with a challenge rating of 26, fighting Demogorgon head on is the kind of thing that only very powerful (and/or very stupid) parties of adventurers choose to do.Perched atop this monstrosity are twin baboon heads named Aameul and Hathradiah, their eyes lit from within by smoldering hellfire. Demogorgon casts the darkness spell four times at its lowest level, targeting different areas with the spell. Demogorgon doesn’t need to concentrate on the spells, which end on initiative count 20 of the next round. Demogorgons were predatory creatures that inhabited Dimension X and the Upside Down. All Demogorgons encountered thus far are assumed to obey the Mind Flayer and by extension Vecna, and make up part of the Upside Down's hive mind. Demogorgon appears in D&D 3.5's Fiendish Codex I: Hordes of the Abyss (2006), p.61-63, this time as a CR 23 creature. It is clarified that Aameul is the left head, and Hethradiah the right. Regenerative Healing Factor: After being trapped and set on fire, the Demogorgon appeared to have healed most of its injuries after a short period of time. A hundred miles offshore lies Abysm, the two serpentine towers of Demogorgon which descend into the sea below.
