This is a really awkward subject but I am just wanting other people views please. My son at 9 and his friend at 10 (male) have been experimenting with each other. They learnt about sex education in school and come home to his friends and decided to look for stuff on the internet. Of course, at five, I had no concept of being gay. Indeed, in 1953, the word was not yet in use in the sense of being homosexual. Neither did I know the word homosexual. I had no name for my deeply seated feelings, but that did not lessen my belief that I was very different and alone in them.
