About this deal

For you PNR lovers, it’s told strictly from Cat’s POV and does have an urban fantasy feel and slant, but the romance between Cat and Bones is sexy, sweet, and flat-out combustible...very satisfying...except for a seriously frustrating, ‘say it ain’t so’ cliffhanger ending that had me immediately starting on the next book (very glad I didn’t have to wait for it) to carry on with the Cat and Bones saga! Now, I do think the "I love yous" came a little early for my liking...it just felt a little fast...but, that's okay, because I loved the pacing of the story in general. I flew through this thing and just had a great time doing it. And Death Shall Have No Dominion‘—looks at the way death controls humankind and the fact that even though it is powerful, it can’t control everything. We all know that Cat is a comedic queen. I love being inside her head. But lemme tell ya, Bones is pretty funny himself 🤣 I really enjoyed being inside his head. The man falls HARD for Cat and he's an A+ piner 😩 It takes time for Cat to trust Bones, let alone fall in love with him. But Bones was pining for her the entire time 😩 It's unreal how these two gave me the feels and butterflies all over again 😩 There comes a time in every reader's life where the repetition of action-sex-supernatural becomes dull.

He is Cat's neighbor and I found him very cute.He is a naive human and he has no idea that vampires exist but eitherway he doesnt have the balls to say a word at Bones. It had a great blend of supernatural and urban fantasy world building – sexy, dark, romantic, witty, action filled plot, filled with fantastic characters. There were also plenty of scenes that were completely new, and it was cool getting to see what Bones was up to when he was away from Cat. Since we can’t see how much Cat actually likes Bones in this, her stubbornness and vampire hatred sometimes got a little frustrating to read about, I just wanted to shake her, because I knew how amazing Bones is now. I absolutely loved it. The audiobook was fantastic. Bones was there with me everywhere I went. Sigh. Cat is one of my favorite heroines of all time. She grows more confident and deadly with each book. She also has a great supportive partner in Bones. The conflicting images of the father’s tears being both a curse and a blessing echo the earlier idea that death is something that is both natural and something to be railed against. The tears of the father are a curse because they strike the fear of mortality into his child and a blessing because they remind that child to live their life to the fullest extent possible. The answer to this question may vary depending on personal beliefs. Some people believe that it is important to visit graves regularly, perhaps on special occasions or anniversaries. Others believe that it is more important to visit graves when you are grieving the loss of a loved one. Ultimately, the decision of when to visit a grave is a personal one.

When a fearsome combatant falls in battle, the warrior's vengeful spirit can sometimes fuse with their armor, creating a graveknight. Every graveknight is born of a unique warrior and has a unique fighting style and array of abilities that speak to their techniques in life. Creating GraveknightsYou can turn an existing, living creature into a graveknight by completing the following steps. It's best to build a graveknight from scratch, but if you don't have the time, simply apply the template. A creature should be at least level 5 before being converted to a graveknight. Without his armor, his posture will rarely regenerate - and you can take the battle at your own pace and get in hits when it's safe to whittle his health and posture down to the point where you can finish him off. You’ll be rewarded with a Prayer Bead. The only thing I can say is that it's a realistic part of her character development, not a long-running theme. I know what you're thinking and you're wrong. This isn't goodbye, Kitten. I didn't survive over two hundred years to find you only to lose you within five months. I want you, but I'm not saying goodbye to you, because we will get through this."-Bones So technically, Cat is not a virgin but in the beginning she acts like one. She's very virginal. And at first, she blushes every time he says anything to her. There are spin-off series about other characters that intersect with the main series. Personally, I would recommend reading the first two in the original Night Huntress Series before reading The Other Half of the Grave because there is a book 2 spoiler at the end. Also when Spade comes to visit and she wrestles him to the ground, when Bones shows up and deadpans ... "You'd better have a splendid explanation for her being on top of you." Reply: "I've never enjoyed a woman astride me less.

It's so interesting how Bones views Cat here vs. How Cat views herself in Halfway to the Grave. Bones sees ALL of Cat: her strength, her vulnerability, her fears. He sees why she's the way that she is and he hates everyone who's been abusive to her and who's made her hate her vampire side. Of course, we already knew all of this from Halfway to the Grave, but reading it from Bones's POV really amplifies his feelings. She is half vampire but she hates them simply because of what a vampire did to her mother. She wants to kill every vampire that will stand on her way and she is doing it with flying colours until she meets Bones.Cat is not your witty heroine. And he’s surprisingly sweet about it. He’s charming and smooth, but not in an alpha-man kind of way. He respects her choices and follows her wishes. There is so much repetition. Repeated words, phrases, and situations... as a writer it’s so lazy. Think of a different approach to convey the same information – that’s what makes writing interesting and compels a reader to stay engaged. This book read like a first draft... all the ideas were there, the structure, but the soul, tone, and elegance had yet to be added. The worst example of Tell instead of Show I’ve ever read. One of my favourite new scenes to read was Bones's interaction with Emily. It honestly brought me to tears 🥺 I loved seeing a soft, but fierce Bones who reassured Emily while also promising revenge. It was such a pleasure being inside Bones's head as he described events that we only ever saw through Cat's eyes. I always knew Cat's POV was limited, but this book made me realize it even more. Seeing everything through Bones's eyes made me realize that Cat doesn't see herself the way Bones sees her. She thinks she's invincible. She thinks she's good at hiding her fears. But Bones sees through it all and it makes him love her even more 🥺 DAMN! Wish I had a visual aid for that one. Hmmm, in fact I would gladly hand over a million dollar bill for such a picture!! Hmmmm...I can't think of anything bad the bureau could possibly do with that information....can you?

There are many reasons why people might visit a grave at night. For some, it may be a way to pay respects to a loved one in a more intimate setting. For others, it may be a way to connect with the deceased in a way that feels more personal. And for others still, it may be a way to find peace and solace in the darkness. Whatever the reason, night- time visits to graves can be a powerful and moving experience. The basic story is one that I was already familiar with. Cat is half-vampire and has made it her mission to kill as many vampires as she can. In her quest to rid the world of vampires, she runs into Bones and realizes that she has met her match. They eventually team up and things only get more exciting from there. In Halfway to the Grave, we see the same basic story from Cat’s point of view but it turns out that Bones has a lot to add. So it's understandable that she has a hard time with her world being turned upside down, what with learning that vampires aren't any more evil than humans and that sex is part of a healthy adult relationship. If you’re looking for a brand new tale, you’re barking up the wrong tree. But if you’re looking to experience the first book again from Bone’s POV then this one’s for you. It’s AWESOME getting Bone’s perspective. We’re feeling his emotions from the depth of his hurt at a casual word from Cat or his pride in her training. The sheer joy he feels when she admits to caring for him and his despair when she can’t say the words. We've all had that one bad ex, but Cat's ex might actually take the cake. He was a total douche but it did help ground her character a little bit with some history, plus his worth to her is hilariously overestimated. So she does her best to hide her strangeness. Pretends to be "normal." Until, finally, on her sixteenth birthday, her mother tells her the truth: Catherine's father was a vampire who raped her. Five months later, Cat was born, premature but fully developed. To illustrate the point, Mommy Dearest stabbed her in the thigh to make her eyes glow. Considering the length of this series, I was definitely expecting more of a slow-burn between Cat and Bones, but that wasn’t the case at all. Bones seemed to have a love-at-first-sight thing going on with her, and they were having sex regularly from about the halfway point onward.
