Well similar in the sense that they have that smooth ambery spice , lavender and cardamom. But this just reminds me of a very sophisticated airport departure lounge whereas the YSL just did not have any lasting impression ( maybe because it often left after introducing itself like a shy painfully socially awkward party guest). I really don't understand why Lancome only have tis one fragrance for men, they really could a couple more as this has a classic impression that's masculine without veering toward 'macho'.
