It feels almost cold. However one should remember here that the SRH-440 is designed primarily as a monitor headphone and these are traits that are preferred in music production with no one sound spectrum dominating the other. The positions are not set in stone. I’m only human; I may miss out on certain details or traits that may only be apparent with repeated listening. Expect changes. The bass has a bit more extension than a 7506 and hits a bit harder but still isn’t bass- heavy. It’s also not bass-light. It kind of sits in the middle. A decent Utopia alternative for thinner wallets. Slightly warmer sound may be more pleasant for some. As a gaming headphone, possibly the best technically though with the usual pitfalls of the Audeze house sound. The 440 can be plugged into anything, but if you’re buying these you’ll most likely be using some sort of interface like the Scarlett 2i2 which I highly recommend as a perfect entry-level solution. Who do these headphones benefit? The headband is quite "cushy" and forms rather nicely to the head. But sometims, when wearing them for a long time, the top of my head begins to get sore where it rests upon my head.
