About this deal

They allow for floor mounted or inverted pedal mounting positions. This in turn, allows you to set up your pedals to mimic a range of driving setups. You can floor mount them for formula style driving. Or invert them for GT and road cars. Not only do these pedals include that illusive clutch pedal. But the brake mod is possibly the most impactful part of these pedals. By installing the brake mod, you completely transform how these pedals feel, and really increase the overall immersion. On a straight level road, I'm using AUTO because that's the fastest gear, and it won't downshift on me then. On almost any other terrain, I use the appropriate manual gear. Read my comment again I never said I would only use high on straight roads I said mostly straight as I would not use high in a place where there was continuous 90 degree turns for example as i could not maintain the speed.

The brake is a lot stiffer to press than the throttle and the clutch, as you would imagine. And it gives a decent feeling towards braking as standard. If you have problems with FFB auto-centering heavily on Logitech wheels (e.g. G920), switching the TYPE from "Logitech Legacy" to "DirectInput" may help. Although the regular T3PA offer great value for money, we think the T3PA Pro are a far better choice for most sim racers. They are built entirely out of metal and are far more customizable with both F1 and GT pedal setups. T3PA vs T3PA Pro: Technical Specs When you compare these pedals to the standard two pedal set you will see a lot of similarities. The majority of the base of each pedal set is made from plastic. The pedals themselves feature a similar metal design and construction, and they’re hinged in the exact same way. So I will add an excel spreadsheet with more technical info. And make your own decisions, I was willing to modify the plastic gears, you might not be. Maybe find some 10K logarithmic pots with correct shaft, I did not, because it was faster for me this way.

How are the T3PA-Pro pedals different?

If you fancy increasing or adjusting the brake pedal resistance, the T3PA kit does come with an optional brake mod. This brake mod (the conical rubber brake mod) features an industrial-grade high-density rubber cylinder. I replaced potentiometers on my thrustmaster pedals (T3PA) with non-original potentiometers (cheapest, lowest quality ones I could find locally as per Thrustmaster standards). I want to share how. You may think on first impression that these look identical to the already existing T500RS pedals. And, well they are certainly very similar. But that is for good reason. The T500RS pedals feature the best product design of any Thrustmaster pedal set to date. One of the most common questions we get is – do Fanatec pedals work with Thrustmaster wheel? This is due to Fanatec producing some of the best sim racing pedal peripherals on the market. The Fanatec CSL Elite LC pedals are one of the best entry level pedals available, the LC standing for load cell.

The most important consideration when using any pedals – in games or in real life – is functionality, and both of these sets are built to function well for a long time. The improved design of the Pro model can’t be denied, but the standard set is nothing to scoff at in this regard. There are "logitech legacy" and "directinput" settings that are somewhat generic and may require you to set up your buttons yourself. Shifters that are separate USB devices don't seem to be supported, unless they are listed above. So lets use TM software to our advantage. TM tells you to NOT press any of the pedals while plugging them in our wheelbases, why, well each pedal has a signal wire, and when you plug in the pedals (for first time after wheelbase has been connected) whatever the wheelbase sees on that signal wire is assumed to be the zero value. This is TM pedal self-calibration. Form the factory mine were configured as follows 0% pedal input = 0V at the signal wire, and as you give pedal input the voltage on signal wire rises. But you can re-assemble them were 0%=lets say 1V, and the voltage rises from there, I discovered this when cleaning pedals for the first time, because I assembled one of the pedals wrong. Thrustmaster has been in the business of making great gaming peripherals for decades. The T3PA and T3PA Pro are two of Thrustmaster’s best sim racing pedals, but which set is better? Both pedal sets allow you to adjust the spacing between pedals. And they do this by allowing you to remove the pedal pad and mount it in three different positions. This is nice, although we would rather have been able to move each whole pedal individually like the Fanatec CSL Elite pedals. Overall, when compared to the two pedal set, the T3PA pedals do ooze a much more professional quality. We would say that almost any two pedal setup isn’t ideal, but this jump from the two pedals to the three feels rather more significant.
