About this deal

It is the only trail (that we know of) running shoe that uses a medial post. Well, kind of. The medial post in question isn’t made of a firmer firm, but a TPU film that adidas calls ‘Pro-moderator’. And if that term sounds familiar, that’s because adidas stability shoes in the late 90s and early 2000s had Pro-moderator medial posts. When you first see it, you think that it’s almost all Lightstrike, because it wraps around the entire base of the shoe, but when you look at the outsole, you can see that the Lightstrike Pro insert in the toe goes all the way from the upper to the ground. Till a few years ago, the launch of new smartphones used to be a fun event that most people looked forward to. The heel is beveled for smooth transitions. The balanced design of the midsole sidewalls makes the ride neutral as well. All applicable customs and import duties and any other charges are the responsibility of the customer.

Personal: B ( A good lightweight trainer, although a bit narrow for me. Not up to par in terms of weight for its intended purpose, but works well as a shoe with more ground feel compared to other racing shoes on the market. ) Reinforcement strips over the mesh continue forward from the lace openings, with additional support to the arch. The Skechers GoRun Razor+ and Razor Excess are based on a similar midsole architecture as the Brooks Hyperion, so they deliver a similar speed-friendly ride. For being a "racing flat" there is plenty of protection for use as a lightweight daily trainer. For those used to this type of ride, daily training in the Adios 6 is doable. For those not used to a firmer ride, the Adios 6 makes for an excellent tempo/interval shoe. Although not light enough to be considered a true racing flat, the Adios 6 is not as aggressive as others on the market (Adios Pro 1/2, Vaporfly, Endorphin Pro, etc). It is great for multiple uses, particularly when you want a lighter shoe that still has decent ground feel and forefoot flexibility. The Adios 6 rides like a far lighter shoe during intervals and tempo runs, reminiscent of more traditional lightweight trainers. Race distance wise this will be a 10k to half marathon shoe for most people given the firmer cushioning and closer to the ground ride than other new age marathon racers. Those used to lightweight trainers will easily be able to take this up to the marathon, although I still think there are better options for that distance. Delivery timescales are based on working days; Public Holidays, Saturday's and Sunday's are NOT classed as working days.

Not easy to find your way around the Adidas Running series with the many Adizeros on the menu! Today, we help you choose between the Takumi Sen and the Adios (not to be confused with the Adios Pro). Two very different shoes. Different purposes The dual-density midsole, Torsion shank, and ultra-grippy Continental rubber outsole play well together to deliver a speed-friendly ride. The adios 6 is very forefoot strike-friendly due to its beveled heel midsole that stays close to the edge of the upper. Bolgla, L. A., & Malone, T. R. (2004). Plantar fasciitis and the windlass mechanism: a biomechanical link to clinical practice. Journal of athletic training , 39 (1), 77.

We wished that adidas made the heel piece reflective. It looks reflective at first, but it’s merely glossy and doesn’t reflect light as a high-visibility trim should. PROS AND CONS In our review of the new adios 6, we said that it was the old Boston 9 – a low-profile pacer that is easier on the feet than traditional racers. The adizero adios 7 has the same midsole and outsole as the adios 6, so how it feels under the foot hasn’t changed. However, it’s a decent running shoe for running long distances at easier paces. It’s also extremely stable due to the larger LEP shank that extends upwards to create a supportive base. The firmer EVA rim on top of the Boost midsole also helps with the transition process.

The tongue could use a little bit more padding, as when using the extra eyelet, the laces can press a little bit into the top of the foot. I didn’t notice it over the course of my run. It could be slightly improved . The heel has a pull tab featuring extra padding, yet is low enough not to aggravate my achilles. This is an excellent upper clearly designed with maximizing breathability and minimizing weight in mind. It matches the lightweight and precise personality of the shoe. It’s worth mentioning that the rearfoot stability is one area where the Adios Pro 3 performs better than the Nike Vaporfly, Saucony Endorphin Pro, and even the last year’s Adios Pro 2. Fortunately, there's some good news. The shoe's semi-gusseted tongue stayed in place all throughout the run. It runs remarkably narrow on the heel… The problem is that most of adidas’s non-racing line-up looks like some version of the Ultraboost 22. The Solarglide 6. The EQ21. The UltraBounce. And many other degrees of the Ultraboost. The trail running shoe problem – somewhat: adidas does reasonably well in the trail running shoe category. The Agravic Flow 2 isn’t bad at all, and the Terrex Speed Ultra is a very competent (and cushioned) trail runner for speed runs. On the entry-level price spectrum, the Terrex Two Flow has been adidas’s budget trail running shoe.

Instead of measuring just one area in the toe box, we prefer to take two measurements: one at the widest point and the other at the point where the big toe lands. Chen, T. L. W., Wong, D. W. C., Wang, Y., Lin, J., & Zhang, M. (2019). Foot arch deformation and plantar fascia loading during running with rearfoot strike and forefoot strike: a dynamic finite element analysis. Journal of biomechanics , 83 , 260-272. On average, shoes become 26.9% harder after being exposed to freezing temperatures for 20 minutes in our lab. The Adizero Adios 7 is slightly above that threshold, with a score of 27.5%. For reference, the Adizero Adios Pro 2.0, which features full-length Lightstrike Pro foam, only hardens by 4.4%. Good looks are appreciated Asics Kayano 28 Review Update - Guest reviewer Ryan Flugaur adds his thoughts to the vastly updated stability classicNevertheless, the running economy offered by the TS is not without a trade-off. Indeed, runners note that it’s a bit unstable at times, especially when turning. In addition, its racing configuration makes it uncomfortable at slow speeds. The Adios 6, on the other hand, is more stable and more versatile as it can accommodate a broader range of paces. Takumi Sen or Adios: which one to choose?

If you are prone to having issues with your big toe or pinky toe, maybe the Adios 7 is not the best choice for your feet. Hardens up in winter The upper is thin and built for performance. But before we dive deeper into the construction of the upper, I wanted to share some earth-friendly facts I came across when doing some research. The Adidas Adizero Adios 6 is a racing flat. I used it in my rotation for speed training sessions or short-distance races. Anything past the half marathon distance, I would suggest a carbon plated shoe.
