It included four of the original Rebel Fleet Trooper minifigures which have always been rare in sets. In fact, they have appeared in no more than four or five sets in 20 years of LEGO Star Wars. Besides the minifigures, the set came with a surprisingly cool speeder with the ability to carry two troopers. I honestly consider this speeder to be one of the better-designed Speeder that LEGO has ever produced. This 285-piece construction playset makes an ideal birthday present or holiday gift for boys and girls aged 7+. The 2 vehicles can also be driven in the LEGO® Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga video game. In addition to their traditional blasters, the Clone Troopers are equipped with a mounted stud shooter. Although perhaps not necessary, this is a good inclusion for play, able to rotate on its four-legged base. This weapon reminds me a little of the mortars occasionally deployed during The Clone Wars, so perhaps that was a source of inspiration. This LEGO Star Wars set features 4 new-for-January-2023 LEGO Star Wars minifigures – a 501st Officer, 501st Clone Specialist and 2 501st Heavy Troopers – each with a weapon for action play. The set also includes a buildable AV-7 anti-vehicle cannon with a spring-loaded shooter and a seat for a LEGO Star Wars minifigure.

The Completed Model
Nothing is known yet about these four remaining sets, which could literally be anything. (As long as it’s to do with Star Wars, obvs.) Chances are good that there’s another diorama in here – the two previous waves included multiple sets – while at least one might be based on later episodes of The Mandalorian Season 3 or Ahsoka. For now, your guess is as good as ours – but fingers crossed there are a sprinkling of other obscure characters among them for LEGO Star Wars’ 25th anniversary. With the high anticipation for the show, it was clear that LEGO would create a set or two and they did not disappoint. Although you do not see any particular Mandalorians from the series, the ones included in the set are incredible and it is simply too cool to see so many color-variants. Spread across three different release dates, 9to5Toys can now report on 11 different sets that will be headlining the LEGO Star Wars 2024 lineup in the first five months of the year. There will be waves on the first of January, March, and May, just like we’ve seen for the past few years, delivering an assortment of playsets, dioramas, midi-scale ships, and more.
