About this deal

For a more accurate reading of your battery level, you will have to turn your Mavic Mini 2 ON and connect it to your Fly App. Similar to your battery, your drone’s internal circuitry can also get damaged if you recently crashed your drone or worse crashed it into a water body (lake, river, etc.)

If your battery doesn’t charge, you won’t see any LED lights when you plug in the Mini 2 Intelligent Flight Battery to the Type-C charging cable. Whether you’ll incur charges for the repairs and replacements depends on whether you have an active DJI warranty or the DJI Care Refresh service. If you are leaving for an early morning flight session, you can put all 3 batteries inside the charging hub overnight, and they will be fully charged in the morning. The standard DJI charger, however, only has a power output of 18W. So using a more powerful charger guarantees faster charging times.

The lights should gradually illuminate to represent your charging progress, but that may not be the case in some instances. If the storage time is very long, the battery enters into hibernation mode to prevent discharge to 0%. This makes sure the battery is not damaged if stored for a very long time. If your Mini 2 SE’s battery is indicating it’s damaged by blinking four LED lights three times a second, you should send the battery to DJI.Do not fly your drone when it is too hot or too cold outside. Batteries are temperature sensitive, and extreme temperatures affect their performance and their life. If you somehow end up damaging your battery, it should be replaced as well. The damage can be from wrong charging that might lead to swelling or from a recent crash that physically deforms the battery. If you are storing your drone for a long period (maybe you are going out of town for a month), all you have to do is put your battery inside the drone or the two-way charging hub after charging them to 100%. To keep your battery in peak condition for as long as possible, always follow the charging/discharging best practices. The Mini SE sports the same quieter, more powerful motors as the Mini 2 rather than the older Mini with which it shares many components. While the cheaper drone doesn’t quite manage to get as much maneuverability out of the motors, they’re both capable of resisting wind up to Force 5 (10.5 m/s), which is one step up the scale from the old Mini.

You can then connect your charger to your Mini 2, and its battery will start charging through it. Make sure that your drone is powered off. That said, 4K does feel like it should at least be an option these days, and perhaps the fact it requires a considerably higher bit-rate to record all that extra detail is a good thing whatever quality you’re editing to. In essence, I had no complaints about the resolution of the 2.7K video from the Mavic Mini, and I have to admit that the 40 Mbps still seemed to offer surprisingly good quality without being overly greedy when it came to MicroSD cards. It’s clearly better to have the choice of 4K than not, and the quality is good, though noise is an inevitable consequence in the shadier areas, and the dynamic range could be better If only the second LED light blinks three times a second, an internal communication error has occurred. Alternatively, this light pattern can represent a short circuit. You start off by attaching your USB charging cable to a power adapter. The adapter is plugged into an AC power supply that’s rated for 100-240 V and 50-60 Hz.Always fly safe and avoid any crashes to prevent any physical damage to your batteries. If that happens, immediately replace the damaged batteries. The availability of 60fps at 1080P is appreciated but included with both drones, so doesn’t make it as a distinguishing feature. Once done, press the button and see if the drone turns ON now. Drone is water damaged or crash damaged

I’ve already mentioned that the charging times can vary for some users. But is it possible to purposely reduce it to a point where there’s a significant difference? Take a look.Flying with a physically deformed battery poses danger to your drone and yourself. In such a case, it’s good to replace the battery with a new one and safely dispose of your old drone battery. Best practices to improve your battery life Many drones have so-called “intelligent Flight Batteries,” including DJI’s pricier models, and these benefit from built-in one-press charge meters. As it happens, the firm ditched this approach with the original Mini, opting instead to put the meter part of the airframe instead. The Mini 2 retains this approach with very similar (but technically different and not compatible) batteries. In both cases there is a button on the bottom of the drone, next to four white LEDs. These provide a crude histogram of remaining battery strength, or a ‘charging’ animation, for the battery in the drone – so nearly as good as one on the battery, but simpler and cheaper to make. You can definitely fast charge DJI Mini 2 as the drone technically supports the fast charging feature. If you use a charger with a power output of 29W or greater, you can fast charge your Mini 2 battery in around 60 minutes. This is around 20 minutes faster than standard charging. The DJI Mini and Mini 2 do not use the same battery. The Mini uses a 2400 mAh, Li-ion battery. On the other hand, the Mini 2 uses a lighter LiPo battery with a capacity of 2250 mAh. Technically speaking, the international version of the Mini 2 drone can use the original Mini battery.
