About this deal

The fans work to maximize airflow without adding noise to the case. Some customers found that the case was not as quiet as they expected, especially the included fans. The issue was not widely reported, but one worth considering for those craving a silent operation! The case is still quiet, with many customers praising a virtually silent operation. I question, however, the mix you have between CPU and GPU. The 10-core 12600KF is something equivalent to a 5800X in AMD terms and seems overkill. The GPU is pretty much low end now for 1080p and not really up to scratch for VR. The top cover and front panel can be changed to deliver either maximum airflow or silent operation. While choosing between the two is not ideal, those craving a quiet operation will still enjoy the case! I should have mentioned I'll be moving over another 1TB SSD and a 1TB HDD from my old PC, so hopefully that gives me enough storage. I have a 9-year old PC which is used for work (Office365, Teams etc), a bit of gaming (Civilisation mainly) and movie streaming (Netflix and others).

In that same vein, we also received an accessory kit with the Define 7 containing an entire replacement top panel. Using this panel defeats some of the noise damping features of the case, but it does allow mounting fans and radiators, vastly expanding the cooling options. The downside of swappable panels like this is that customers are inevitably going to pay for a panel that they don’t use, but the ability of the Define 7 to switch from a silence-focused case with a ton of drive mounts to a liquid-cooled case with massive radiators and a reservoir at the front, or anything in between. Corsair has fitted two 120mm fans to ensure airflow in the closed-faced design. There is also a 3-speed fan controller that powers on overdrive when required to maintain an excellent machine. The controller also helps to keep the PC as quiet as possible while you are using it. Being in control of the fan allows you to control the noise in a way that we don’t usually see in the PC world! Especially at this low price! The case comes with three Pure Wings 2 140mm fans to deliver excellent airflow throughout the case. There is also space to add additional fans, too, for those after a very cool system.

I got my pc specialist pc last July. I have only just plugged in some devices that require usb-c connections and discovered some problems. The rear usb-c connector has power but seems loose and plugging things into it connect then disconnect and I have to hold the cable in place to maintain a connection.

Fractal Design Define 7 combines a striking aesthetic design with a bevy of convenient build features and impressive performance.

Ultra-slim Nexus+ 2 fan hub with three PWM and six 3-pin connections logically placed in-line with cable channels This is very sizable for a mid-tower chassis, but it also means we likely will not see issues with a top-mounted 120mm based AIO or Radiator for custom liquid cooling. This is a trap many mid-towers we have witnessed recently fall into. The XL version measures in a bit larger at 566mm in height, 604mm deep, and 240mm in width. This enables the XL version to offer more 120mm fitment for even more extensive liquid cooling options for fitment. And if you are tired of rogue cables, Fractal Design has thought of that too! There are multiple options for cable management with this case to keep your PC organized. Customers enjoyed the pre-installed velcro cable ties, making cable management simple and easy!

Support for radiators up to 360 mm in front, 420 mm up top, or 280 mm in the base in the default Open LayoutThere are a lot of storage options with this case too. You can mount up to 14 HDDs alongside 4 SSD mounts. The storage layout function is excellent for those with lots to fit into their PC tower! When it comes to a quiet PC case, it is best to avoid towers with tempered glass panels. These can let noise leak out and aren’t as quiet as closed-case units. Tempered glass panels are also not the best for airflow and require additional fans, making extra noise. I'll give the Define 7 some more thought. I just wasn't sure it was worth the extra cost and whether it would actually be as quiet as the Silencio - hard to know though unless you hear them in action, I suppose. Maybe it's worth it for the better airflow?
