About this deal

Gloomspite Gitz have several strong magic options, with lots of different casters and spell options. Moonclan used to have easy access to boosting casting through eating mushrooms, however those options have now been changed. This list is designed to show you the best models available, so you can save valuable time, and money! This list drops some manned Squig units to fit in the whole smorgasbord of Squig buffs, including Grinkrak and his Looncourt. Grinkrak is notable in that he can give a friendly unit within 3″ fight on death in the combat phase, making those Squigs an absolutely brutal unit to have to try and engage in combat. The rest of the list is mostly what we’ve come to expect, with 40 Shootas serving as the disposable screens and objective squatters. The Best of the Rest Barbed Net (Double, Stabba with Barbed Net): A good chance to prevent an enemy from moving or disengaging this round. Just for fun here we present few thematic warbands, meant more for fun or narrative context than for competitive play. Note that in narrative play you need to complete a quest that allows you to recruit a Hero before being able to add him to your roster.

I’ll touch on these in more detail in our parts of the preview series. Available playstyles – horde / alpha bunker / combat speed heavy squigs / mortal wound swarm / casting heavy Free movement whenever you take damage from a distance >9”. Movement is essential to the game and the most important thing to maximize – don’t forget this. The Loonboss on Mangler Squig gives you a powerful, fast hero unit for 300 points. At that points cost you could take two. Plus add the Fight Another Day command trait to be able to charge and retreat as well and the Squig Lure spell to run and charge. Inside you can find Zarbag (adapted as a herder or a boss), 3 shootas, 2 cave squigs, a netter and two extra miniature of which one that can be used as a Stabba with Pokin’ Spear.

Grinkrak’s Looncourt is a Bladeborn warband from Warhammer Underworlds Season 7, whose rules are available in White Dwarf 485. Main advantage is that the bonus move would work in the Herder activation thus allowing the use of any other ability in the squig activation but apart from this the herder does not add much more and it costs a Triple…Madcap Destruction (Triple, Loonboss on Giant Cave Squig, all Squig Hoppers and Boingrots): A bonus move up to 12″ and if it ends next to an enemy, inflict up to 6 damage. Do you Gloomspite Gitz vets think it'll hold it's own? Do you think it'll be fun to play? What would you change? And what are the main weaknesses/strengths of this list? an “alpha bunker” list (a large unit thrown rapidly into the enemy’s lines to slow its advance while your other pieces move into position and claim objectives) Depending on who else you follow from the Competitive Warhammer scene, at least from who I know, you will pretty much get a resounding echo along the lines of: “Movement is the most important stat.” Since this game is Objective-Based, getting to, from, and securing objectives as fast as possible is the most important thing an army can do, and having so many abilities that help you to do that is a pretty solid allegiance trait for the army. However, in this particular matchup, Seraphon do all of that, but better. They can even avoid your charges with the Fangs of Sotek “fire and fade” command ability. Important tip though: That only applies in the charge phase, so If you charge in the hero phase, you will avoid this problem. Also, don’t forget that if you charge in the Hero phase and then retreat in the movement phase, since you still “completed a charge” that turn, that unit can pile in and fight in the combat phase, even if you’re outside 3″. This can be an important work-around if your buddy’s Skink rely on heavy use of “Overwatch, then run away” tactics. player, 5-round Grand Tournament in England GB on February 25 2023. All the lists for this event can be found in Best Coast Pairings. The Showdown

Simon Eccles – Flesh-eater Courts: Speccles brings the long in the tooth FEC book to an impressive 4-1 finish, with this Blisterskin list relying heavily on summoning on additional bodies to supplement the double big boys and 9 Crypt FlayersHand of Gork. Always Hand of Gork. Remember when we said movement was key? Hence, Hand of Gork. Whatever else you want is fine but make room for Hand of Gork. I literally think that just about every time me and my local Ironjaws player play, he has a different battalion, and only settles on a list just before an event. These all have plays, you will have to find the one you are most comfortable with. Some people are more comfortable with hammers, others are more comfortable with butterfly knives. One of the best things for a player to do when getting to this point in the list building process, is understanding how they, as a player, are most comfortable with playing. Does a fast but fragile army suit you better? Or does an army built to just punch as hard as possible, as long as you get there (even if it might take a bit longer). As you can tell, this is an attractive army for any fantasy player. With so many models, it can be difficult to choose the ones you want. Moonclan also get the greatest benefits from some of the battalions as the Squig Rider Stampede and the Squigalanche and artefacts such as the Squig Lure. The Fellwater Troggoths have received a strong offensive boost for their shooting and melee weapons. However, the healing is not as strong as it once was.
