About this deal

Some woods are highly porous and require an especially thin application, as a result the drying time can be increased. A. Osmo 3032 used to be called 'satin-matt' but a number of years ago, they changed the name from 'satin-matt' to 'satin', the sheen level of the product however remains the same. Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner can be used for refreshing the floor surface as required. If a higher level of sheen is desired, and after cleaning and thorough drying, apply the Liquid Wax Cleaner thinly and polish when dry. Looking for a long-lasting, natural finish for your wood flooring? Look no further than OSMO Polyx Oil Original. This hardwax oil is made from plant-based oils and waxes, making it environmentally friendly and easy to apply. Its durability and resistance to water, dirt, and wear make it perfect for high traffic areas, and it provides a natural, matte finish that will enhance the beauty of your wood flooring. Plus, its easy maintenance means you can enjoy your beautiful wood floor for years to come with minimal effort. Don't settle for a subpar finish – choose OSMO Polyx Oil Original for the ultimate protection and beauty for your wood flooring.

Always shake the can well before use. Failure to mix the white colour (within Osmo Door-Oil 3033 Raw) and all ingredients could lead to an increased patchiness. Natural oils accentuate the natural colour tone and grain of wood (permanent wet look). A dry Osmo Microfibre Roller can be used, if necessary, to roll out brush marks within 30 min of application. Cork flooring is highly porous and requires an especially thin application, as a result the drying time is increased (min. 24 hours per coat). Wood surface must be clean and dry (moisture content max. 20%). Polyx®-Oil is ready to use, please do no thin, stir well before use. When dry, the finish is safe for humans, animals and plants (suitable for children's toys as per. EN 71.3 (European norm) and fast to perspiration and saliva in accordance with. DIN 53160 (German industrial norm)).Cork tiles are best treated before fitting to avoid overlapping treatment of edges which would lead to prolonged drying times. A cork floor treated with Osmo Polyx-Oil will get a robust, elastic and wear-resistant surface which will harden further over 2-3 weeks. Due to the extreme absorption power of this highly elastic, natural, material we recommend the following procedure: Apply thinly and evenly along the wood grain with either an Osmo Hand Brush, the Osmo 220mm Floor brush or the Osmo Microfibre Roller, and spread well. Allow for good ventilation whilst drying. Apply a second coat as before. For the renovation of oiled/waxed surfaces, generally only 1 coat is required. This should be applied to a clean and dry surface. Sand carefully before application starting with a coarse paper – final sanding for flooring P100-150, furniture P180-240. Remove dust etc. thoroughly from the surface before application (vacuum cleaner). Resistant against wine, beer, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juice, milk and water in accordance with DIN 68861-1A (German industrial norm).

Other household cleaning products such as vanish, bleach, baking soda etc. are likely to cause severe discolouration or staining. It seems there is a lot of confusion out there over the differences between all the Osmo products. I am asked all the time about how to choose which finish to use, and am constantly told the numbers just add to the confusion. And I totally get it. I felt the same way when first starting to use Osmo on my own projects. While I won’t be covering every single product Osmo makes, I can offer some guidance on the ones I do. I’ll try to make this as simple as possible. Application of top coat of clear Osmo Polyx®-Oil Original can be carried out once the first coat has dried. However, if the first coat was a coloured Osmo finish ( eg Polyx®-Oil Tint or Wood Wax Finish Transparent) wait approx. 24hrs before applying Osmo Polyx®-Oil Original clear top coat. For daily maintenance, cleaning with a dry duster, floor mop or vacuum cleaner will be sufficient. For commercial premises, an electric floor polisher can be used.

Ideal for all wooden floors, solid or plank wood, strip parquet, OSB or cork flooring. Highly recommended for wooden furniture. Also for slate and screed as well as terracotta and other natural (non-glazed) ceramic tiles. Now we come to the Polyx family. I think this is the one that trips people up a bit. It is comprised of five individual products. Four are clear, and one is not. Let’s start with the one that is not - Osmo Effect/Neutral/Raw 3041 (I have seen it referred to all three ways which also adds to the confusion). It has a 2% white tint in it to counter the natural ambering of lighter woods, such as maple, ash, and white oak. You can use either 1 or 2 coats, depending on the look you are after. You will never get a truly white finish from it because it only has so much white in it. It has more of a matte finish to it and should be topcoated with a clear Osmo finish. I have used it on both maple and ash, and the wood looks almost bare afterwards. The final surface quality is dependent on the wood's surface structure, we therefore always recommend to test the product on a small sample area before complete application.. Due to its expert technical knowledge of the technologies and materials available across the industry, Promain has a reputation for outstanding service among its trade and retail customers. A. In short, 'No'. Oiled and waxed finishes on floors are 'Micro-porous' which means that although the wood is protected, it can still breath as it is not completely sealed as it would be with a varnish.

For top coating Osmo white colours use white tinted Polyx Oils ( eg: 3040 or 3240) to avoid yellowing. Please Note: Oiled or waxed surfaces should not be cleaned with a steam cleaner or steam mop as these will degrade or potentially strip the oiled finish. RenovationBased on natural vegetable oils and waxes (sunflower-oil, soyabean-oil, thistle-oil, carnauba-wax, candelilla-wax), paraffine, siccatives (drying agents) and additives. Disaromatised white spirit (benzene-free). This product fulfils EU-Regulation (2004/42/EC) according to the VOC limit value of max. 500 g/l (Cat. A/e (2010). Apply first coat very thinly with an Osmo Double Blade Scraper, or other suitable applicator for cork floors. For small projects, an Osmo Soft Tip Brush can be used
