About this deal

to Hel with me banking on this book to be better than the previous installment cause this was a downgrade. i was bored through most of it, and finishing it had felt like a chore. this book peaked in the prologue imo, i was struggling through the middle ok it was a whole lot of nothing For ‘Love and other words’ ⭐⭐⭐⭐ There is no shortage of passion between the main characters. What I loved about this part of the story was Bryce standing up for her right to choose her own ‘mate’ against her fathers wishes. Even better when she achieved this in such a clever way that blindsided everyone around her, including her father. now as for the whole "ACOTAR characters meets CC characters", I know that Bryce will have a brief time in prythian, and since we already know that Sjm gave the acotar characters their own arc, we don't need to have them as much in here. since this will be the finale, and Sara has the whole crossover+ arc for many other characters in CC that we were introduced there's no point to have a sort of "avengers assemble" on all the characters.

The House of Flame and Shadow with the Daemonaki, Reapers, Wraiths, Vampyrs, draki, dragons, necromancers, and others has an unknown origin. This book stressed me. I can't even count the number of times I had to put it down and walk away for a minute because I was scared to read what happened next. Every time I thought I knew where the story was going, a whole other layer of complications and magic and worldbuilding was added to the mix. It was a rollercoaster in every way. We’re excited to confirm that we will be creating matching editions of the rest of the books in the series as they come! there will be something like that right in the middle of a smut scene. like sweetie 😐 that’s 😐 not hot 😐I loved the first book in this series. It was…kind of trashy reading, you know? But it was FUN and easy to fly through and the world of Crescent City was so vibrant and full of life that I couldn’t get enough. I will never get tired of reading House of Earth and Blood because I have never read something that more perfectly reflects my own experience with grief and heartache. This book? I'll always feel like I found a group of people who will always make me feel included and a part of something. We also know that Crescent City has several gates throughout the city and in Eternal City where the Asteri live. In House of Sky and Breath we find out that the Asteri would bring people from other worlds to live on Midgard through these gates. So where are the gates in ACOTAR?

this is because the arc of Bryce and hunt shows how different they romanticize mates, and if that had continued in HOSAB, I would have assumed this is the casual mating bond we know. Instead, we see Bryce and hunt choosing the word "mate" for their relationship, and as the relationship grows, they became true mates. and beyond the beautiful fact that they choose each other before a biological function pulling them together, Bryce and hunt seem to have a power that, together makes them incredibly power.Update july 19: OK LISTEN, I'm legit sad and dissapointed that my baby Rhun and purple color is not there( Not because Mrs Mass just clowned the hell outta me, no lol🤡🤡) seriously she really decieved us. I am a little disappointed though that Aidas was not more present in this book. I really like him, and I think he has the potential to be a truly complex and interesting morally grey character, but we haven't seen enough of him to really know what he is up to and where he stands in the conflict that is to come. but...the smirking, hissing, giggling, and purring that amounts in this sequel? "GEEJUS CHRYSLER. NO. MORE. IM BEGGING, PURRING," SMIRKING AS IM TYPING THIS OUT...... even if i don’t feel like most of sjm’s characters are written well at all, here are the ones i simp for: too many slow-too much talking and banter-and nothing happens-parts but when the good parts hit, THEY HIT.

Azriel has major ties to fey in Lunathion since he had Truth Teller and was the one that casually found Bryce. I no longer believe in coincidence. Everything is suspicious. If the whole ACOTAR gang can't cross to Bryce's world, I think only Az might. (The starborn sword and his knife have to fight together. The Starborn power seems similar to the Light Generation ability from the Dawn court and the same ability that Feyre has. Does this mean that Feyre may be able to absorb power to make her power stronger like Bryce? Honestly, I waited for this book for so long and am slightly conflicted with how I feel about this story as a whole. I have never rated a SJM novel this low before. I was sometimes forcing myself to read it - like it was some university homework . But I also liked how she took this series to an entire new level- I can tell there was a lot of research done. it helps a little that bryce also gets protective over hunt sometimes but it’s not really the same and i still feel like alot of the ways sjm writes these things gives sexist vibes.

and to keep this in mind that this will be the finale, I think we are going to spend a brief time in prythian, and this crossover thing is something that I'm pretty sure with the proof of TOG, sjm had truly set up her world for this crossovers, and it does make sense. we have to wait and see what Queen sjm has for us, one thing I know is that she is the queen of satisfying plot twist and CC3 will be nothing short of masterpiece. 😉🙇‍♀️ I’m quite disappointed with this one. House of Earth and Blood was genuinely almost my favourite book of 2020, and this is a mess in so many ways, plot-wise, romance-wise, etc. It’s revealed during the final scenes with Rigelus that the Dusk Court is likely the Prison Island and that fae’s like Bryce and Ruhn actually hailed from Prythian while other fae’s hailed from elsewhere. So is the Autumn King actually a descendant of someone in the Autumn Court from Prythian? He has the same type of fire powers that the Autumn Court has. Additionally, the three great mountains in Prythian have buildings inside of them. The Prison is under a mountain. We have the sacred mountain where Amaranth had her court. However, the inside of Ramiel has never been explored as mentioned, I believe, in ACOSF. Could there be a gate inside of Ramiel?

i loved them in the first book and their character development was really good and now it’s like sjm thinks she can just stop writing them well because they already had enough character development in the previous book. well, that’s not how it works. they are boring now and all they do is talk about having sex. their relationship is bland and i don’t even ship them anymore. i liked them in hoeab because they were friends first and then slowly grew to trust each other and be one another’s safe space and now they’re just oH sO pOWERfuL royalty bitches. they’re not an interesting couple, they have no chemistry or individual character development or relationship development and i don’t like how hunt is all possessive alpha male bullshit ok bye Since we know that The Autumn King has fire power I think it’s likely that there is a relation somewhere with the Autumn Court and Lord Baron. Which could also explain why he is the way he is in personality. This is a blink and you miss it moment, and rhun never outright said the word "mate" but know that when scents are released I don't know the sequence of that rightly! (He made a big deal of it with Bryce and hunt) it means this is something Right??? nonetheless, I absolutely love the direction this is taking, specially that we've seen many perfect bonds through the sjm books, which helps readers to believe that incompatible bonds are chosen, and I'm exited to see a deeper moral related to mating bonds like this.

Second, if we don't get an Avengers level team up in this book I'm suing for getting my hopes up. That ending killed and then revived me and I don't know how I'm going to wait for this.
