About this deal

Hannah Wells is a 20 years old girl who's not very popular. She has some good friends and a supporting, loving family. Not many of her friends know about what happened to her five years ago. Despite her past, Hannah is not a broken girl. She wants to be ‘normal’, she has people in her life who care deeply for her, she has dreams. In most of the areas she’s a confident girl, but when it comes to relationships, sex and seduction she’s not the most experienced girl. Too bad since she has a crush on one of the football players. Yes, Hannah and I are friends. In fact, she’s the only female friend I’ve ever had. And yes, I want to keep being Hannah’s friend. But…I also want to sleep with her." And him and Hannah together. Literally soo cute, and I LOVE HANNAH SO SO MUCH. She went through so much but is still marching through life as the queen she is.

Hannah takes a breath. “We studied. We watched TV. I went home late. That’s what happened. Got it?” Just out of curiosity,” she says, “after you wake up in the morning, do you admire yourself in the mirror for one hour or two?” Despite the straightforward plot, this won me over just by the strength of Elle Kennedy's writing, flawed yet ,b>relatable and likable characters and by its sheer readability. I could not put this book down. I devoured it from beginning to end. And the dialogue just sparkled. Garrett finally wears down Hannah’ refusal of tutoring by helping her try and get with Justin buy fake dating, but what happens when beneath all of the arguing and bantering between Hannah and Garrett are some real feelings that neither really know how to interpret since Garrett doesn’t want to date and Hannah thinks she doesn’t like him like that.

The narrated version is not at all what I expected -Ms. Avalon has a very deep and nasal-toned voice and does not fit for a 20 year-old woman OR a 20 year-old man (she is playing both characters -even though the books chapters are split between the male and female POV); her intonation is off and does not do the story justice. I found myself annoyed when really common phrases were narrated in a way that stressed words in an oddly -I have no idea how old Ms. Avalon is, but based on the narration, I am guessing she is significantly older than the characters and has never uttered similar dialogue in her everyday life. I tend to stay away from the NA genre. I have an 18 year old son away in college. Don't want to be imagining all the shenanigans that he might be getting up to. But I have read a few good college books. Show me what you do to yourself when you’re alone,” he coaxes. “I…” The lump in my throat is too big to speak past. His voice grows hoarse and seductive. “Show me, and I’ll show you.” The make up is next Friday, which gives us a week and a half to study. I’ll write the exam, and then on Saturday night we’ll go to Maxwell’s party and show Loverboy how sexy and desirable you are. He won’t be able to resist, trust me.”

How do you feel about Lynyrd Skynyrd? Or do you only like bands where the guys coordinate their outfits?” I'm telling you this book could have been way better if the author tried not to insert humour in places where it wasn't necessary. I still enjoyed the plot but the representation and stereotyping characters pissed me off a lot. Delicious, complicated and drama-filled . . . I read it in one sitting, and you will, too’ L. J. Shen, USA Today bestselling author

solid stars, rounded because this is a great New adult read, FREE OF CHEATING, barely any slutshaming and the hero is just adorable. I've found a new book boyfriend! With all of that, though, they stand behind their daughter... give her the emotional support she needs, and just are there for her even though they are miles away. It is with this type of love, Hannah is who she is. She is a girl who has been challenged like many... hurt like many, yet through counseling and fortitude, learned to do as she was guided... "Take Baby Steps". She is a very pretty, natural girl. Extremely talented in the musical arts and when she sings the world drops away. She is a junior in the music program at Briar University on full scholarship. This does not pay for her food, books, and other living expenses. She also waits tables at a 50's inspired diner not far from campus. She shares her dorm room with her friend who is always trying to get her out and to parties. They both look after each other. Although it seems like a simple arrangement, Garrett must figure out how to convince Hannah that he is the appropriate person for her after a few embraces that lead to more. If you enjoyed The Deal, you’ll love this selection of books with a similar theme. Book Genre: College, Contemporary, Contemporary Romance, New Adult, Romance, Sports, Sports Romance But she forges ahead and soon her sights are set on the school’s star football player, Justin. Only, there’s no way Justin would ever notice someone with her lowly social status...

So when the very “popular”, very sexy, and very flirty lady’s man, Garret, offers to help Hannah gain the attention of her crush in exchange for some Ethics tutoring, “The Deal” is born… The more time spent together, the more Avery begins to see a new side of Declan, and the farther they move from the dreaded friend zone. Declan even offers to assist Avery with tasks beyond simply shampooing her hair.Despite repeated refusals from Hannah, Garrett is eventually successful in his quest to have Hannah tutor him. They make a deal – she will help him pass the midterm make up test and he will take her out to a party where Kohl will be, thus improving her social cred and making her seem unattainable – something Garrett assures Hannah is necessary if she wants a date with “loverboy”. That is until she comes across the man who stole her virginity, who is also the bride’s brother. Tyler left immediately after she surrendered her virginity and she didn’t even get a “goodbye.” A few weeks ago I was in dire need of a funny and sexy read and so I went to my adorable Gansey and asked her for a book recommendation! And also because - as a former college athlete who had a lot of college male athlete friends - they really are manwhores in real life.
