About this deal

They run off gas canisters and require no electricity to use. We used to use them on our boat when we were anchored in a cove somewhere. Having electricity as a power source can be tough in the winter, especially if you use solar power as your main way to recharge your battery. Notify us in writing and/or complete a warranty claim form, which should include a description of the fault. Remote control can Preheating, oil quantity, temperature and wind speed can be adjusted, window's frost can be eliminated. Environmentally air diesel heater, low emissions, low fuel consumption. NOTE: The remote control needs to be set before it can be used. You can see the steps in the Product Description. It’s probably fair to say that the most common and popular heating system for campervans is a diesel heater. These heaters are a sound way of supplying an adequate amount of near-instant heat to keep you nice and toasty, and use a minimal amount of fuel in the process.

If you’re unsure how to correctly install a diesel heater I strongly recommend taking it to a reputable fitter to get installed. I also recommend installing a carbon monoxide detector just to be on the safe side. This CO detector has a 7 year sealed lithium battery to give you peace of mind. We also keep our roof vent open to allow some ventilation. Motorhome Workshop can supply and fit some of the best heaters around, from Webasto and Eberspächer . This model also comes with a silencer which makes the heater that much quieter. There is however, some noise from the pump whilst the heater is running. Separate silencers are available to buy if required. Trust us...you will never get bored by the novelty of having instant heat! Having a heating system where the heater comes on 5-minutes before your alarm goes off is simply brilliant...a home away from home :)

Over the years, I’ve tried and tested an array of heating solutions, but nothing quite compares to a camper diesel heater’s efficiency, reliability, price and simplicity. Usually I wouldn’t recommend cheap brands nobody has ever heard of for something as important as a campervan heater. For example, my top recommendations for campervan fridges, leisure batteries and solar panels are all by reputable brands, since most of the time you get what you pay for. Whilst motorhomes and campervans have a lot of similarities, there are some differences in how they might be heated, particularly if you’re designing or redesigning your own van or doing a self-build.

If you have a motorhome or a campervan which has been professionally converted, I strongly recommend getting a permanent motorhome heating system installed if there isn’t one there already. The heaters have proved their excellent quality, working in aggressive environments, such as, marine environments. A non-plumbed-in heater requires extra space for a separate fuel tank. Whilst these are more common due to them being easier to install, I would also advise seeing a professional when dealing with fuel and carbon monoxide. With such a low price tag, you’d be forgiven for expecting a poorly made product. Nothing could be further from the truth, though. The MaXpeedingrods diesel heater is made from high-quality materials and is reported to work surprisingly well. The 5kW model has a heating capacity of up to 17,000 BTUs per hour, making it ideal for heating a large campervan. Plus, it comes with a nifty LCD control panel that’s easy to use and works just great. Can be too warm. If you’ve got a small van then a 5kW unit can be too warm even when they’re on Low. This can mean needing to turn it off and on (or opening a window slightly… which can be good for condensation anyway). This is the most important factor to consider. You need to buy the right sized heater to fit your van. If you have a small van such as a VW transporter, a 2KW heater will be fine. This will be able to heat the van whilst running at a low output. Let me give you the inside scoop on what a motorhome diesel heater is all about. This little marvel is a fuel-efficient, compact, and powerful heating solution designed to keep your motorhome or campervan toasty warm in even the coldest conditions. The secret to its success lies in using diesel fuel as its primary energy source, ensuring consistent and comfortable warmth throughout your living space. This is a big consideration if you plan on spending a lot of time at higher altitudes. Using diesel heaters above around 5,000 feet above sea level can be problematic — the air is thinner making it harder to burn the fuel.

We've put together a list of the most frequently asked questions we receive about campervan diesel heaters, which you may find useful for your conversion. a. Drop the diesel tank down to access the lid, use a spare pipe on the sender unit or drill into the top of the tank This universal kit, includes the fuel lines, pump, exhaust, wiring harness, controller etc. that you'd need to fit the heater. Most of these types of small gas heaters have some sort of warning stating they should only be used outdoors, because of the risks. They’re great to heat up an awning or outdoor space though.you can open a window slightly which’ll help with condensation anyway… and you can turn down a 5kW but you can’t make a 2kW warmer) As a motorhome enthusiast with a few years of experience, I can’t emphasise enough the importance of having a reliable heating system while exploring the open road. Diesel heaters are a big investment, but if you want to be able to stay in your campervan all year round in comfort, you really can’t put a price on the convenience of instant heat… it makes the investment completely worth it!
