Jen and Small are having a sleepover, but Small doesn't have a toothbrush that's her size. Dylan the dinosaur comes to visit, Small flies off to see how peppers grow, and the two friends cook up a falafel-saurus for their Jurassic guest. The cooks are pretending to fly when Paul the Pilot enters the café. Ben and Small cook him a meal of Pilot's Plane, and he gives them a paper plane in exchange. Ben and Small are playing a game of cards. Small decides he'd like to be a king. The Queen of Hearts visits the café and the cooks make her some jam tarts. In return she leaves Small a crown, so now he can be a proper king. A very hungry Ben and Small are writing a shopping list when Little Red Riding Hood enters the café. She's having trouble with the wolf, who keeps pinching her cakes. Big Cook and Little Cook make her a flowery basket as a treat. Grateful for the delicious basket, Little Red Riding Hood gives them the cakes which she was about to take to her granny. Now the wolf won't be able to eat them. Small learns about bread. Children’s cookery series with Big Cook Jen and Little Cook Small. Jen starts a kitchen disco in the cafe while they bake cakes, but the radio runs out of batteries. Meanwhile, they cook a delicious robot fridge cake for Ruby Robot.

Big Cook, Little Cook is a British children's television series created by Adrian Hedley for BBC television. The programme is set in the kitchen of a café, with two chef characters; Big Cook Ben/Jen and Little Cook Small. CBeebies aired repeats on the channel until 2012. [1]Ben has a pair of blue sandals and wants to go to the seaside, but is prevented from doing so by a storm. A customer comes in. It is Little Betty Blue, and they decide to cook her some vegetable sandcastles. In return Ben hears a seashell. Small collects some tomatoes from a greenhouse and finds out how they grow. Sieve in the plain flour, bicarbonate of soda and ground ginger. Then add the egg and stir to create a soft dough. The dough needs to be mixed well so you can use your hands, but make sure you have washed them well first! Recipes. Big Cook Ben and foot-high Little Cook Small run a café together for a varied fairytale clientele. Ben and Small can't find any of their things. Kim the Kangaroo hops into the cafe and Ben and Small make her a kangaroo pouch. To say thank you, she leaves them pouches of their own to keep things in. Activities within the kitchen, such as washing and tidying up, are accompanied by a catchy song and dance routines.

Ben enters the café wearing flippers and a mask he has found in the fancy dress box. Unfortunately Ben cannot swim, and Small wants him to have swimming lessons. Penny the Penguin enters the café and they make her iceberg slush. In return, she leaves Ben a present to help with his swimming lessons - it is a pair of rubber armbands. Once cooked and golden take out of the oven. Leave the gingerbread friends to cool completely before icing. Mary Mary Quite Contrary enters the café and they make her Fancy Flowers. Small whizzes off to get some boiled sweets. She gives them flowers in return.The chefs are having a scavenger hunt in the cafe, finding spikey things. Hattie the spikey hedgehog comes to visit, Small flies off to find out how flour is made and the two chefs whisk up delicious hedgehog rolls for their snuffly guest. In a large mixing bowl, pour in the cooked potatoes. Then mash the potatoes with a splash of milk and half of the butter, until creamy. Heat a tablespoon of oil in the frying pan on a medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic and sizzle until they are soft. Then add the chopped tomatoes, the cooked orzo pasta, tuna, scooped courgette and half the cheddar cheese, mix well and remove from the heat. Frank the Firefighter comes in for some nee naw sirens. To thank Ben and Small for the meal, Frank invites them to ride in his fire engine.

The two chefs are pretending to have a beach holiday, but they haven’t got a flag for Small’s sandcastle or a sun hat for Jen. Marla the mermaid comes to visit, Small finds out how spinach grows, and they cook delicious sweet potato boats for their enchanting guest. Ask your grown-up helper to help you melt the butter, golden syrup and sugar in a pan over a medium heat. Slowly stir until all the ingredients have melted then set aside to cool. Once the mixture has cooled slightly, pour it carefully into a mixing bowl. Cookery series with Big Cook Ben and foot-high Little Cook Small. In disguise, Ben enters the café, but Small spots him straight away as his face looks the same. The three Billy Goats Gruff visit the café, and Ben and Small make them a baguette bridge. Then Small flies off to find some goat's cheese. To thank Big Cook and Little Cook for their meal, the goats leave Small some mossy shoes and a goatee beard for Ben's disguise.Tip the dough onto a clean floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes. Kneading is when you fold, press and stretch the dough with your hands, it’s very important to help make your bread rolls rise in the oven. Carefully pour in the egg and oil mixture and beat well into the dry ingredients. Add in the raisins and grated carrot. Mix together until you have a smooth mixture. Ben has been caught in the rain and is not happy. Small is explaining why it is important that it rains when a customer comes into the café. It's Wendy the Weather Forecaster. Ben and Small decide to make her cauliflower clouds. To thank the cooks for her meal, Wendy gives Ben and Small their own special forecast in a rhyme. It stops raining outside and the sun comes out!
