At the Pitlochry rail station, travel left towards Athol road. At Athol road, turn right and keep going south right through the railway bridge. The distillery is located on your left just a little farther than Little Church and its entrance is just 250yards out. Founded in 1798, Blair Atholl Distillery is one of the oldest working distilleries in Scotland and situated only two minutes from Atholl Palace Hotel. Situated in the very heart of Scotland and the place that Bell’s calls home. The Nutty, rich signature malt is distilled at this distillery then added to the blend. Whisky believed to be distilled almost 200 years ago and sipped by a young Queen Victoria, has been found behind a hidden cellar door in Blair Castle. Understood to be the oldest known Scotch whisky in existence, it will soon be offered for sale at auction.
