About this deal

In the morning, connect your battery again and try turning it ON again and see if it works. Refresh the firmware Also, never insert your battery inside the drone when the battery is turned on. The battery is too cold

Additionally, the Mavic Air 2 is the first of DJI’s drones that can receive ADS-B signals from piloted aircraft, and show their location on the controller screen. This feature, called AirSense, will only be initially available in North America, due to the coronavirus; a version of the Mavic Air 2 without AirSense will be sold in all other regions, but a version with AirSense will be available globally by this summer. DJI Mavic Air 2: Controller However, it is not a good idea to fly your drone in extremely low temperatures. Even if your drone takes off, it can crash midway due to low discharge from the battery. The battery is damaged

The second-generation DJI Mavic Air 2 drone offers a number of new photo and video tricks and excellent flight time.

Unfortunately, I get the impression they are rushing development and issues are surfacing in the consumer's hands. They've put so much resources into development that they possibly cannot afford to make these things right despite are ultimately their responsibility. As a consume I cannot afford to take on their R&D risk nor would I want to. I use this hardware to for business and I need it to be reliable not to troubleshoot or pay for what isn't caught by their engineers. If batteries are sent for other reasons than above then we would charge the return postage to return them to you as this service is for batteries that have gone in to hibernation mode only. If you tried all the troubleshooting steps and are still here with your Mavic Air that won’t turn on, it’s probably time to call the professionals. If it was your incorrect procedure and following the correct one worked, off you go and enjoy your drone. If not, keep reading the rest of the troubleshooting guide below. Battery is not charged LiPo batteries are quite resistant to physical deformation but a drone crash can impact the batteries severely. They can de-shape, deform or even the internal circuitry gets damaged.

This service is only for DJI Mavic Air batteries that do not charge, when connected to a charger they do not show any green LED's or one LED flashes. The aircraft takes off and flies 30 m above the ground. When the aircraft flies within 20 m from the Home Point, the senor will scan the terrain. When the current terrain matches with the Home Point's terrain, the aircraft will land. Similar to your battery, your drone’s internal circuitry can also get damaged if you recently crashed your drone or worse crashed it into a water body (lake, river, etc.) If you see a low charge on your battery (only the first LED is blinking) that means you need to charge your battery first before you can fly your drone. Battery in hibernationIf you find any twisted terminal or misalignment, you have to fix it yourself (if you are a DIY person) or get help from a professional repair shop. Battery is not correctly inserted

The controller also has an improved 10km transmission range, so you can feasibly fly the drone up to six miles away, and still get a clear picture on your smartphone’s display. Of course, you should only fly a drone where you can still see it, but it’s a pretty impressive range. While the Mavic Air never went more than 400 feet away from me, I never noticed any interference or interruption of the feed from the camera. DJI Mavic Air 2: Camera features A hard crash can also break delicate parts of your drone like the arms, motor mounts, or propellers. In that case, you will need parts replacement and DJI is the best source to get them. Electronic bug or software glitch If none of the above methods of troubleshooting has worked yet, it’s time to physically inspect your battery for any signs of damage or malfunction. Another feature aimed at helping photographers is SmartPhoto; the Mavic Air 2 will be able to recognize five categories of scenes — such as sunsets, blue skies, grass, snow, and trees — and optimize the camera settings accordingly.I bought a used P4 18 months ago that came with two dead batteries. Fine, maybe the previous owner abused them. I did hours of reading while trying to recover them and started to understand just how fragile they were. If it’s not your battery then it’s a problem with other parts of the drone. Our first suspect would be the power button. Similar to previous models, the Mavic Air 2 can take HDR photos, but the Air 2 takes a series of seven photos to blend together, versus three for the original Air. DJI Mavic Air 2: Video features Once done, press the button and see if the drone turns ON now. Drone is water damaged or crash damaged

All batteries have temperature limits under which they operate. If your battery is too cold, it will simply stop discharging and your drone will not turn on. The first flight I took with the Air 2, its battery lasted at least 22 minutes, based on the timestamps of my photos and videos. This flight consisted of a good deal of hovering (which drains the battery faster) as I took pictures of the drone for this review. A subsequent flight, which also involved plenty of hovering, lasted at least 25 minutes. I plan to update this section as I take the drone on more flights. Charge the battery and it will be ready to use. Fly with caution for first use. Errors and Troubleshooting: Hi Nigel, I’m Kerry. I read where you said there are other ways to wake up hibernatingbatteries. I tried your posted procedure but nothing, I have no lights green or any color even after waiting hours. DJI claims the Mavic Air 2’s flight time is 34 minutes under ideal conditions; that’s 14 minutes longer than the Mavic Air, and a few minutes longer than the Mavic Mini.

You must have heard the term “ have you tried turning it off & on again” in IT industry. Well, it works and we can try the same with our drone. If you recently crashed your drone or dropped your battery accidentally, there is a good chance of physical damage to your battery. Once your battery is out of hibernation, put it in your drone and turn it ON. If hibernation was the issue, it should turn ON now. Battery terminals & compartment is dirty When a DJI Mavic Air battery has not been used for some time they can often slip in to a hibernation mode, this then does not allow the battery to charge or work.
