About this deal

The motherboard is a great design, it’s the ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-A Gaming WiFi D4, this not only looks great with nice white and silver detailing, but it also oozes that quality build you expect from ASUS, great job! Makes me think twice about speccing in the ‘F’ or ‘E’ now! EK ® , the premium water-cooling gear manufacturer, is launching a new distro plate for the LIAN LI O11D EVO chassis. It is designed to provide advanced water cooling with the latest 3rd-generation SATA-powered D5 pump, reducing the need for additional 4-pin Molexcables. The Reflection² series distribution plates are EK-Matrix7 compliant. The Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO is the successor to the original O11 Dynamic case that launched in April 2018, and that was pretty darned good. Sadly we haven't reviewed the O11D, however we used it in a custom loop Gigabyte WaterForce build HERE and were deeply impressed. The good news is that EVO is even better. We update our original review today with a second video featuring the MSI MPG X570S Carbon EK X with custom loop cooling If you're the type of PC builder who's never quite happy with the features of any case, or you want a chassis for your rig that can grow and change along with your evolving rig, Lian Li's O11D EVO might be perfect for you–so long as you have lots of space. All-In-One Affordable, easy to install, maintenance-free liquid cooler with class-leading performance

Keeping your options open, the Lian Li O11D EVO PC Case is compatible with both air and water cooling. Depending on how you configure certain hardware and panels will dictate the best cooling solution for your build. Engineered to be mounted on the front window of the O11D EVO case, the EK-Quantum Reflection² PC-O11D EVO D5 PWM D-RGB fits elegantly within the LIAN LI O11D EVO chassis. The front no longer has a stainless steel plate covering the pump; instead, it is now a single piece of see-through acrylic. In terms of voltage-regulator temperature, the O11D EVO again barely trails the fan-equipped gaming cases... EK has made a build to showcase this distro plate. If you wish to make the exact same loop, EK has an option called – Shop The Loop, where you can buy exactly the same components to make a loop like in their visuals. The Lian Li O11D range is known for its modular innovations. The latest O11D EVO takes modularity to the next level. In addition to the easy to remove panels, this mid-tower case can be configured in one of two modes: Normal and Reverse. Whether your desk set-up is skewed to the left or right, you can create the perfect showcase gaming PC. Thanks to the hassle-free design, it only takes a few simple steps to arrange the Lian Li O11D EVO into Reverse Mode. The top and bottom panels can be switched and the whole case flipped, putting your hardware to the left-hand side of the case rather than the traditional right. The O11 is designed for more than just adding a few fans, though. We'd recommend a more elaborate build with three 120mm intake fans on the bottom, since that's where the dust filter is located, plus some kind of radiator and fan combo on the top to aid in voltage-regulator cooling.

Overall, the Lian Li O11D EVO PC Case has a sleek and modern design. The main structure is manufactured with stainless steel whilst the exterior panelling is either brushed aluminium, mesh, or tempered glass. Contributing to the smooth aesthetic, the power button wraps around two edges of the chassis, whilst the reset and RGB buttons remain on the side. This incredible case is available in three colours, with this model being the white version. Inside and out, this PC case has a clean and bright style, with silver screws to prevent interrupting the look. RGB LED Strip Even though the O11D EVO has no fans of its own, it still flows enough air through our radiator to place between the quiet-design SilverStone Seta Q1 and two fan-equipped gaming cases, the Cooler Master HAF 500 and the Corsair iCUE 5000T... The good news is that the core chassis is very good indeed and allows you to build a high end PC that is fairly conventional and which functions well. The case is not especially large and has excellent thermals along with very good cable management. Fan mounts: 3x 120mm/2x 140mm side, 3x 120mm/2x 140mm roof, 3x 120mm/2x 140mm bottom, 1x 120mm rear

KitGuru Says: The Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO is superb and may well be the best case of 2022 (and it's still 2021). This kit allows you to take the I/O panel from the bottom of the chassis and move it to the top panel. With the replacement strips featuring the necessary cut-outs, this kit features all the components needed to relocate the I/O panel. From there you will have easy access to the two USB 3.0, one USB 3.1 Type-C, and HD audio ports.Having the panel situated on the top means the additional I/O module can be placed in any of the three available spots.

Thanks to the spacious, dual-chamber interior, the Lian Li O11D EVO PC Case can accommodate for all your gaming hardware in a number of configurations. Able to support up to an E-ATX motherboard, this chassis has 8 expansion slots. With the tempered glass side panel, you can create a truly show-stopping gaming PC. Should you prefer vertical or, the more traditional, horizontal mounting, then AiO cooling is the best option. There is support for three radiators and up to ten fans across the chassis. In both Normal and Reverse modes, up to a 360mm radiator can be mounted on the top, side, and bottom, with the latter two having support for 280mm models, also. Depending on radiator size, up to three 120mm or two 140mm fans can be installed in the same areas, with the tenth being a 120mm fan on the rear. Dual-Chamber, Sleek Interior To put this case through its cooling paces we will be using a test system consisting of an Intel Core i9-12900K CPU, Sapphire RX6800 XT graphics and an SSD. This system allows us to produce a substantial amount of heat and effectively test the Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO‘s cooling capabilities. Still, we'd suggest you ideally add fans to the bottom mount, the side mount, or both. The Lian Li is, after all, designed to hold up to three large radiators. And because of the extreme glass visibility, it practically begs for LED fans galore, whether mounted straight on the case or on radiators. On paper the Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO appears to have changed very little from the original O11D. You can now install a 280mm radiator in the side location and there are mounts for nine storage drives, rather than six. As you will see in our video, the devil very much lies in the detail as you can flip the case from right hand to left hand and can also install a range of accessories that include two different GPU mounts. The final two accessories are PCIe riser cables for alternative orientations for your graphics card. Flexible Hardware Utilising the innovative, dual-chamber design, cable management is incredibly easy within the Lian Li O11D EVO. There is even a cable management bar as part of the second chamber, allowing you to neatly bundle cables together and feed them through the rubber grommets on the separating panel. This chamber features everything you need to keep cables under control, including a hook and ties. Not only does this design keep your PC interior looking sleek, but keeping the PSU separate helps to keep temperatures down. The EK-Quantum Reflection² PC-O11D EVO D5 PWM D-RGB is a custom water cooling reservoir, routing, and pump solution that seamlessly fits into the front of the case. This waterway is also equipped with four innovative push-in ports that come with female G1/4″ threaded adapters. The idea is that a user can assemble the whole radiator + fittings and use these push-in adapters to simply slide it into the distro plate. If you opt for the front mesh panel and upright GPU, then the Lian Li O11D EVO is going to have phenomenal airflow. With a fine mesh, these panels have been optimised for thermal performance as well acting as dust filters. The upright GPU allows unprecedented and direct airflow to the graphics card and CPU, that can be further boosted by three 120mm fans. Alternatively, the upright GPU placement also allows for amazing customisation for water cooling. Simpler and more efficient tubing can reach hardware without restriction, which in turn helps the radiators to perform more effectively.

We loaded the Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO with 620W of gaming hardware and it performed superbly. While we expected the Mesh front panel would help performance it actually made very little difference. When you consider we had fans in the floor, side, roof and rear of the case, perhaps it shouldn't have come as much of a surprise that the front panel did not act as a restriction. Thermally the EVO is a masterclass in how to do things right. Closing ThoughtsThe O11D EVO XL’s front pillar can now be easily removed, providing an unobstructed view for showcasing hardware without affecting the case’s structure. The adjustable motherboard tray can move up and down with three levels of height to fit different fan and radiator combination. The motherboard tray supports a maximum of E-ATX (width 280mm) motherboard.
