There was an important reveal about one of the characters, and the manga looked like within a few chapters it would reach a very satisfactory ending. Overall I shrug cliche's and bland stories off. I don't read romcoms for interesting characters or subplots (big plus though), and the girls are cute enough to keep me going.At first glance, Masamune-Kun seems like a generic harem anime but it has elements that sets it apart from other harem anime: while the characters are indeed generic, the story line has a major difference from other common generic harem anime (it reminded me of Nisekoi, but without Shaft’s studio skills). This is definitely one of the better harem anime out there, so I feel that it does deserve a 7/10. Since she is called the Cruel Princess, if anything embarrassing was to come out of the school that revolves around her (such as her habit of eating too much) Aki's image of being the cruel princess would be tarnished.
