About this deal

But I was very pleasantly surprised by Caught Up. Unlike the previous books, there were hardly any major cringe moments (let's not talk about the hotel pool 👀) and the emotional scenes were actually impactful. Instead of the insufferable opening rant we got in Mile High, we get drawn in right away with a lil meet-cute sassy banter moment. Was it all a little insta-lusty? Definitely. But I was enjoying myself so much that I didn’t even care. I’ll never forget this scene, mostly because Stevie is such a relatable character. She’s always been insecure about her body, because she’s always been a curvy girl. And the way Zanders comforts her is so incredible, I wish every girl could get an Evan Zanders. I loved the sibling relationship between brother and sister ( twins - heroine and her brother). I loved how it was free of toxicity. Because in most books the brother tries to run his sisters life in an attempt to “protect” her while realistically doing more damage. I absolutely loved how her brother was there for her and supported her in every aspect while letting her make the decisions about her life and being there for her if something didn’t work out. He did the same with his family ( his mom who was an amazing mother to him but was toxic and awfully passive aggressive to his sister). He stood by the sister and respectfully told his mom off for acting differently towards the two of them. It was healing to read about such a great dynamic of siblings. Miller + Kai + Max = everything. The romance between the couple is perfect, the relationship between Kai and his son was the most beautiful and heartwarming, and don’t even get me started on the bond that Miller develops with Max. It’s the best thing ever. When Max finally gets her name out, and instead of Miller its Mama he’s trying to say… I bawled honestly this is everything I want in a romance. I’ll take no criticism with this book it’s as close to perfect as they come.

This playlist is the bomb I love it so much!! Legit flew through me and I am not apologizing thank you very much!!Tbh I had really low expectations for this book. Mile High and The Right Move had fun characters and some cute moments but I wasn’t super impressed with the overall writing quality. Also, I really went into this thinking who tf is Kai and why should I care about this man????? This was one of my most anticipated reads as Liz is a go-to author for me, but this one just didn't hit like I wanted or thought it would. This had so much potential, but there were just some moments that I couldn't agree with. Those moments are what made me give this a lower rating than what I wanted. I, however, still enjoyed it mostly. I just wanted and expected more. while stevie is full of strength and sass as a character, she goes through a lot of self doubt and insecurities. and even though zanders is portrayed as a “bad boy” his character is actually so caring and protective over the people in his circle

i’m not gonna give this book a five star despite all my rambling about how much i loved it, and the answer is pretty simple; I don’t think it deserves a five star i’m trying to be a little more critical, and not give five stars out like candy on halloween. i can’t give you an exact reason to why this wasn’t a five star for me, other than i don’t feel like it deserves a five star. it was very predictable, and the writing was very normal and not anything special. i’d say read this book if you liked the first two in the series, if not then don’t <3 But that wasn’t the case here. And whilst this had a strong beginning, it started to go downhill for me in the second half. The flaws became far too glaring. And don’t even get me started on the characters 🥺 I know some people don’t like kids in books and sometimes that’s very justified but you’re just wrong in this case. Max was EVERYTHING. And the soft looks between Miller and Kai whenever they were watching each other take care of him had me on my knees 🧎‍♀️

Growing with not only Zanders but Stevie is insane and makes me love this book so much. The portrayal of mental health in Liz’s book is simply incredible. With all his books, I never wanted them to end. I can’t wait for the next book in the series and see Liz becoming an even more amazing author. THE WHOLE SCENE IN THE BATHROOM WAS EVERYTHING. please if u read anything, read this. it was the most beautiful scene ever. There was opportunity for more therapy elements to have been incorporated into the story, especially when things went downhill for Zander, but it was missed. Which I don’t understand, since therapy did play a significant role in the story.

kai is the starting pitcher for chicago’s MLB team (baseball), but being the starting pitch for the team is hard for kai, especially because he’s raising his son max too. being there for his son has always been kai’s first priority, therefore he keeps firing all his son’s nannies. the teams coach monty is tired of kai firing every nanny within 2 weeks, so he gives kai a nanny he can’t just fire, his own daughter miller who just came to chicago for the summer, because she needed a break from her job. Yes it is spicy (which I also enjoy) and the spice is top notch!! However there is also an amazing plot, fun side characters and a ton of depth that I was not expecting. Once again, I am humbled by my own assumptions, do not miss out on this book like I almost did! I have seen the book Mile High by Liz Tomforde all over book-tok and was a little skeptical because I totally just wrote it off as another basic athlete story with a ton of spice and not a lot of depth (I shouldn't judge I know!) I do enjoy some books in this sub-genre but a lot of them I just can't get in to! You don’t have a kid. You have a baby.” Indy’s tone switches to soft and sweet, her smile beaming as she looks through Kai’s phone. “Yeah,” he sighs. “And he’s looking for a mom.” The guy could be out partying every night, getting away with any and every thing, but instead, he’s at home taking care of his son as a single dad. here is his 🏅🎖️🎗️🥇🏆🏆 the bar for men 🥺it’s giving “i babysit my kids”
