About this deal

Instead, you simply insert the bottle or can of beer you want to drink and it is dispensed through the machine. Whatever you're brewing, it will take between four and eight days, but the process is very clearly explained and instructions are super easy to follow. How a beer dispenser works obviously depends on the design and model of your machine but it'll involve pressure in some way to force the beer out. However, the machine didn't feel as high quality to use - the tap felt quite flimsy and the drip tray was quite cheap looking. Let the beer settle. If you’ve had your keg delivered it may have been shaken about and that can make for a big old glass of froth. Let the keg settle for as long as you have time and when you’re popping it in the dispenser, do so smoothly to minimise shaking it up again.

I have to say that the PerfectDraft system proved much easier to use overall. There’s no messing about with pressure release valves, and the machine automatically adjusts the bags inside the kegs to maintain the perfect pressure all the way to the bottom. We initially thought this machine was the ugliest of the bunch, but our partner insisted the temperature gauges, high-quality drip tray and the fact you can see the keg were all very appealing. It goes without saying you’ll need to select your chosen dispenser from one of our favourites below, but you’ll also need to get the right beer to slot into your dispenser that suits your beer tastes. Many of the more expensive options take kegs directly from brewers (often called kegerators) that are pressured and will shoot out the golden nectar for you, complete with microfoam heads right in your own home, but others just need beer cans or bottles to be slotted or poured in. Like the original PerfectDraft machine, the PerfectDraft Pro is best bought from BeerHawk. You can buy all of the kegs from here, too, so it makes sense to buy everything from one place. It gets easier to change kegs with practice, but the process still proved more difficult than with the PerfectDraft machine. It'll take a while to get your canisters to the correct pressure and to cool your beer, but the process doesn't require a lot of input from you. What is the best home beer dispenser? We cover the wonders of the self-brewing Pinter 2 below but if you're after an upgrade, the 3rd iteration of the popular at-home beer-making kit brings all the fun of making your own beers but takes it one step further. Where's the new stuff? An active pour tap that extracts the brewer's beer with precision, drawing out foam, notes and bubbles for a perfect draught every time. This tap will adjust itself to the pressure built-up in the keg so you don't end up spurting it everywhere, and there's a range of fun colourways that are certain to catch an admiring eye at this year's BBQ. Freestanding design: Suitable for use anywhere, including the games room, kitchen, bar, office and more Pull the perfect pint at home: With adjustable CO2 gas control and built in cooling system to chill kegs between 3 and 6 degrees Plus, you can get your hands on kegs from Corona, Jupiler, Leffes, Stella Artois, Thornbridge and more with your machine as part of a starter bundle.

The first beer poured out a bit “lively” as they say in the industry, but after that, it came out very easily and made us look like a professional. Introducing the super sleek and stylish draught beer dispenser from Salter Professionals. Suitable and compatible with universal 5L kegs such as Heineken, this beer dispenser allows you to create tasty frothy beer from the comfort of your home as Co2 cannisters are provided. With a mains operated and manual function, this easy-to-use beer dispenser will be even easier to clean with the removable drip tray to wash and return, ready for a fresh beverage. While the keg and beer range on offer with the PerfectDraft Pro may be the same as the previous model, the system has been redesigned to deliver an improved beer-drinking experience. Most importantly, the static 3ºC cooling has been replaced with a thermostat, so different beers can be kept at different temperatures. The size of the kegs means that you’ll get just over 10 pints of beer a turn, and each keg lasts for up to 30 days once opened. I feel that this is a good compromise: there’s enough beer for a small gathering, or to accommodate a single person over the course of a couple of weeks. So it’s easier to get hold of the beer to use Salter’s system; however, it’s more of a faff to use than PerfectDraft and it will cool your beer for only up to 21 hours. Design and Features We all like a beer at home too — a bag of cans or a few bottles are all well and good — but it’s not the same as a proper pub-pulled pint. That’s why the home dispenser has become increasingly popular. For beer enthusiasts, it should go alongside the coffee machine or kettle. One of those absolutely essential appliances that every kitchen needs. The PerfectDraft Pro machine was incredibly easy to set up - it was all done in a few minutes - although cooling the keg takes around 10 hours so this is one to prepare in advance.
