About this deal

If you love an intense shower, nothing beats a high-pressure showerhead—and thanks to the AquaCare High Pressure 8-mode Handheld Shower Head, you don’t have to break the bank to get one. Through testing, we’ve confirmed that this showerhead offers high-end performance, with a 2.5 GPM flow rate and a wide variety of settings at a relatively low price point. Zone 0 for a shower room is the area inside the shower basin. If there is no shower basin, zone 0 is 10cm high from the finished floor level and extends to 1.2m around the fixed shower head. Even if your home has low water pressure, a shower head with a clever nozzle design and carefully sculpted water channels can help build the pressure and give you a powerful shower. The trade-off is usually quite a narrow spray radius. However, since there are generally multiple spray patterns to choose from, you can start your shower with a wider, gentler spray, then switch to a more forceful pattern for intensive cleaning.

In addition to the basics, modern shower heads may offer extra features such as a built-in Bluetooth speaker or LED lighting. These aren’t always practical for a handheld shower, though, and they’re no substitute for an effective spray pattern. On that note, if a shower offers you ten different patterns, ask yourself how many you’re actually likely to use: most of us rarely need more than one or two patterns. Vent-Axia has really pushed the boat out with this brand-new model. Aside from shifting up to 39l of damp air per second, this bathroom extractor comes crammed with more sensor tech than any other model on the market. In fact, it has a sensor for everything, even odour. Yes, that’s right, when this clever little air mover detects a nasty smell, it either switches itself on or, if already running, speeds up the fan, returning the bathroom to its original sweet-smelling scent in a thrice.BS7671:2008 requires all electrical items in the bathroom to be RCD protected. A lot of the 230V fans are suitable for use in Zone 1 if they are RCD protected. Its unclear if your saying that the casing has been cut in some way at the top to allow the cable to enter the fan? if so then this will need to be sealed with silicone or similar if there is a gap of 1mm or bigger. IP45 is not a splashproof rating so the casing only needs to prevent access to live parts from human fingers and small diameter objects being pushed through small gaps. Finally, if you think you (or anyone else in the house) will forget to turn the fan on, consider a model with a humidity sensor. This automatically activates the fan when the level of moisture in the air exceeds a certain threshold. This sensor may need occasional cleaning, though, or the accumulation of dust or grime will hinder its effectiveness. What about noise? Extractor fans installed within zone 2 must be fitted with 12v SELV motors with the SELV transformers and isolators fitted outside of zone 0, 1 & 2. After three months of long-term testing this showerhead, we’re happy to report that it has continued to deliver. The water pressure is just as good as the first day it arrived, and we loved being able to play with the settings and use the handheld showerhead. So far, there hasn’t been much buildup besides slight white mineral deposits on one of the nozzles. Shelling out extra cash for a quality, sleek showerhead can be a great way to upgrade your daily routine. While the Delta HydroRain Two-in-One Shower Head doesn’t come cheap, after putting this showerhead to the test, we think its dual design, variety of settings, and high-quality construction justify its price tag.

The space under the bath tub or shower basin is considered to be zone 1. However, if the space under the bath or shower basin is only accessible with a tool, it is considered to be outside the zones. What really makes this showerhead stand out is its variety of spray patterns and performance. The showerhead offers eight different settings, including wide rain, massage, and point jet. Some settings offer a more concentrated stream with higher pressure, which can also be used to clean the shower itself. At 2.5 GPM, the flow rate is higher than many options on this list, which can enable better water pressure but may also lead to higher water bills. The PureAir Sense comes with two spigots (or sleeves): one for standard 100mm installation and another for larger 125mm portals. The larger spigot is the one to fit if you want to benefit from its excellent 39l per second flow rate. That said, its standard 32l per second flow rate is still better than most and easily good enough for the majority of bathroom installations. The extent of the zones in a bath or shower room can be limited by floors, ceilings and walls. For more detailed information see BS 7671 diagrams 701.1 & 701.2. Any electrical equipment installed on the surface of floors, ceilings and walls that limit a zone is subject to the requirements of that zone. Zone 1 for a shower room is 2.25m from the finished floor level or the height of the fixed shower head from the finished floor level if more than 2.25m, and the width of the shower basin. If the shower has no basin then zone 1 extends to 1.2m around the fixed shower head. Chris Fallon, general contractor and owner of Fallon Contracting, says that “installing a new showerhead after having an old one can actually make you feel like you have better water pressure.” Whether your old fixture is clogged with build-up or has faulty parts, upgrading your showerhead can result in a more enjoyable experience. And if you're looking to save money in the long run, a high-efficiency showerhead is a great way to reduce your water usage (and your water bill) each month. RCDs are required for all circuits in locations that contain a bath or shower. The requirements for local supplementary bonding have been relaxed if certain conditions are met. 2014-05-04T11:20:01+01:00

When setting up the showerhead, we found that the installation instructions were clear. We also appreciated that the handheld wand was easy to detach and even came with an additional mount so you can place the showerhead at a different height if needed. This thoughtful feature is especially helpful for those living with kids or a roommate/partner with a height difference. The hose length was plenty long, too. Plus, the product features antimicrobial anti-clog nozzles to help keep the showerhead clean. In testing, we did notice slight leaks around the showerhead due to the plastic construction, but it was not majorly concerning to us.

We’re really impressed with how the Chandler Combo Showerhead has held up after six months of at-home testing. The product has continued to perform as well as it did when we first got it. There have been no changes in performance or aesthetics. The water pressure is still wonderful, and the hardware is still sturdy. We love that the shower nozzles are made of rubber, which makes them very easy to clean. Additionally, the detachable shower head makes it simple to rinse off the sides of the shower and other nozzles during the cleaning process. We’ve found that using a daily shower spray helps with consistent upkeep of the showerhead. In terms of performance, we found that this showerhead held up exceptionally well, with a consistent and even water flow. However, the spray area isn’t particularly wide, which can be an issue for those who prefer more of a rainfall effect. But with six different spray patterns, we still found that the product is highly effective and customizable to your liking. We also love how easy the showerhead is to move around, as it uses a swivel-action adjustment to change the direction of the stream. What’s more, the product offers a ton of value at a reasonable cost.
