Part of me was Team Maddox, although I wanted Lennox to have his own version of happy. I want to see the fury flashing in her seafoam eyes, like some treacherous siren luring ships to their death, before she realizes she’s met her match, and that I won’t be captivated by her siren song. Loyal only to their crew, the Murder of Crows, they refuse to let an outsider like me get too close. The end of the first book didn't seem very auspicious for Scarlett Stone. Certain she was going on a trip with her boyfriend, she was in for a surprise, life altering events and the man of her nightmares that could very well be of her dreams also.I still read them. I’m not sure if it’s just curiosity as it’s darker than most and I always wonder where she’s going with the stories and characters that aren’t all good or all bad. With actions that are not always bad, but that mostly end in a despicable way. It’s confusing how to animate those characters. Everything started askew with mixed feelings, plans of revenge and survival, a mission to accomplish and a one-week vacation on the Atlantic's icing shore instead of the Hawaiian warm waters. What follows is a turbulence of internal conflicts, defiance, twisted games, exploration and raw emotions as well as danger, preseverance, diamonds and the realization they were it for each other. But their quest and emotional growth, connection, ensnarement and final entaglement is all so worth it, so felt and appreaciated, you couldn't wish for more. Our girl to me was the perfect mix of strong yet needing help to deal with things, The life she has endured has not been easy and to top it off the mean girls at her school are making her life that much harder and the bullying was horrific.

When I tell you everything about this book was perfect. I thought that I was in love with Maddox and his madness but nothing could have prepared me for Lennox. Like his and Scarlett's story was the epitomie of a dark toxic lovely time. It was raw and unfilltered and I loved every moment of it.Y'all. This book. Selena just dropped it like, "here you go." It is fantastic! If you are a lover of her dark Willow Heights Prep Exile series, you will LOVE this one. This, like the WHPA Exile series likely won't be for everyone because there are some non con/dub con situations and abuse. These boys are not nice in the conventional way. Don't expect a Disney fairytale. It's dark and gritty and hard. Mysterious. Dark. Deadly. They say crows are bad omens, but until I met them, a single crow was my only friend. Selena writes such multi-faceted characters and knows how to develop them so well that as the story progresses, what initially seems to be an irredeemable character becomes someone you can easily fall in love with.

The Plot of this book is actually quite good. I didn't feel bored wile reading this book and in some scenes I was actually on edge hoping everything would go well. The pace is quite fast but that is also due to the fact that they are in forced proximity. Lennox wasn’t who I thought he’d be. Out of the bedsheets, he’s actually a soft and romantic gangster. He wants love, marriage, and babies. I have read a lot of silly and stupid books but this one tops it all. I’m angry that I haven’t DNFed when I was seriously contemplating doing so on numerous occasions. Let me start from what is wrong with the book as there is absolutely nothing right. I will not be reading any follow up story, because quite frankly I have absolutely no desire to read about any of them. The reason for my high rating is the sex scene at the beginning of the book which was hot!

Lennox is the wolf in sheep’s clothing. He may have the persona of an artist’s soul, but underneath lies the true heart of a psychopath. He can kind and sweet but he has the patience of a saint as his plans come to fruition. In the end, we know they were not so alone or invisible, everyone was meant to be around one another, together, as one. These twin brothers will do your head in, one trying to one up the other, and it just showed how young they actually were in a mans world, but the heroine had me tipping over the edge. I lost count how many times the V Card was held like a gold trophy trying to trap one of the twins.
