About this deal

Over two days, this interactive in-person course runs from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm (UK). We allow for regular breaks throughout each day. Please note that each course date’s start and finish times refer to the GMT zone. In this practical and interactive 5-module virtual class, you’ll explore current “brain science” as it relates to human learning in virtual environments. You’ll discover 6 specific brain-science principles and a 4-step instructional design model that you can use in your own virtual teaching and training. And you’ll leave with dozens of new ideas, activities, resources, and a new “Gold Standard” for virtual instruction and learning. InfoQ: How can trainers facilitate groups to find ways to improve their work flow using ideas from kanban? prioritization techniques that work for them. If they don’t have any prioritization mechanisms this may be the perfect opportunity to change that

For you, this means that you’ll want time to practice using the information you’ve learned. You’ll learn as much from your mistakes as you will from your successes. Gradually, you’ll master what you’ve learned – and, of course, one of the best ways to master anything is to teach it to someone else. We have introduced intensified hygiene & prevention measures to ensure your safety. The ALLSAFE label represents our new elevated cleanliness protocols, and provides assurance that these standards are being met in this hotel.” C2: Concepts:Whenever you’re designing a workshop, try to look for common ground with the group. If they have their own foundation, it will be easier to add a new layer of information. It also improves the retention of new information. When you’re comfortable using all four steps to design and deliver effective instruction, you can “mess with the map” and mix up the pieces in ways that serve your learners best. You can also create “mini-maps,” that is, breaking up large instructional components/modules into smaller “mapped” segments of instruction. The 4Cs Map is an eminently flexible and versatile design/delivery tool.The 4Cs Map is a simple way to make sure you include all four brain-based steps in every lesson, class, or training you create. I call it a “map” because maps help us get to where we want to go. They show us where we began, where we are, and where we’ll end up. “Using a map” is a great metaphor for this 4-step instructional design and delivery model.

I focus on the desired outcome, as the mode for training should be deliberate. If I want to understand something conceptual, I may listen to an Audible book, podcast, or conference video. If it is something I’m interested in applying, I immerse myself in the learning more, usually through a classroom setting with others learners. If it is something I feel is a skill I will want to really embody, I try to teach it to others either informally via a conversation or formally via a Meetup, conference talk, or classroom.InfoQinterviewed Justyna Pindel about her experience from doing workshops, doing virtual classes and using visualization, dealing with people who complain about the current situation, and fostering positive emotions. It’s sad that our education system has done a lot of damage to some who have passed through it. We all remember the best teachers that we had at school, but we also remember those who should never have been allowed within a 100 metres of a school too.
