The story also shows the re-opening of Willy's Wonderland after the deaths of Jerry and his colleagues by Tex and Jed despite protests from the public and the Sheriff. After the animatronics kill a few of the staff, Jed confesses to Tex that the spirits of Jerry and the others are inside the animatronics, but Tex decides to keep the place open as he and Jed dispose of the bodies.

Certain changes were made to the film during production. Some of the animatronic characters, Beary Bear, Douglas Dog, Pirate Pete, Pauly Penguin, and Regina Rabbit were cut out in the final production. G.O. Parsons, screenwriter of the "Nicolas Cage vs. evil animatronics" movie Willy's Wonderland (watch it HERE) has announced that a comic book prequel to the movie is going to be released this October, just in time for Halloween! Parsons also shared a look at a variant cover for the comic book, which is being published by American Mythology Productions. After the deaths of Willy and Eloise Lund, Sara, still alive, gets out of the garbage bag and uses gasoline, which Liv was about to burn down Willy's with, to pour all over Tex's car. When Tex and Jed get inside the car, they see Sara through the car's front mirror, and Sara bids farewell to them, then triggers a massive explosion, ending up killing them both and herself.

She is the only animatronic not to get killed by the Janitor in the film.
