About this deal

Like any of our chocolate fudge recipes you need to have condensed milk and chocolate for the basis of the fudge. I use a mix of white and milk chocolate but you can play around with the ratio of white to milk to find a mix you’re happy with. I wanted our Baileys fudge to be as close to the colour of Baileys cream liqueur as possible. Slow cooker fudge doesn’t need anything special to make it, and you probably already have everything you need at home, but this is the equipment we use: Add coffee liqueur: Add 1 tablespoon of coffee liqueur to the fudge mixture to enhance the flavour of the Irish cream. Once you’ve got everything you need to make the fudge you can just keep making it again and again – in so many different flavours too! So here’s our delicious Baileys Slow Cooker Fudge recipe: Add orange zest: Add 2 tablespoons of orange zest to the fudge mixture before pouring it into the pan, for a citrusy twist.

The coffee is so important as it brings out the flavour of the chocolate – don’t worry though you coffee haters, you can’t taste coffee. It’s so important to include it for best results. Can I use milk chocolate? Milk chocolate is very sweet and will result in a very sweet fudge. I recommend using only dark or semi-sweet chocolate, or at a pinch using half dark and half milk chocolate. Here is a recipe that sets for me each time, doesn’t make my arm tired and has the option to be a grown up fudge with Baileys or Tia Maria. We always cook fudge on a high slow cooker temperature setting and it takes around 40 minutes in total. You could make it on the low setting but it would take longer and would still need to be stirred regularly. You may as well keep the slow cooker on high and be done in under an hour! When cooking, is the slow cooker fudge lid on or off?The process to make Baileys fudge is very simple. You'll have a batch of fudge whipped up in no time!

We also use standard Baileys Irish cream for this boozy slow cooker fudge recipe but you could use any other brand of Irish cream liqueur or any other Irish cream flavored liqueur for a similar Irish cream fudge or you could even try using other flavours of Baileys for an easy fudge alternative. Break the chocolate up and add to the slow cooker bowl with the sweetened condensed milk and Baileys Oooh and be warned... this fudge is super rich, so you only need a small(ish) piece. Mind you, I say 'smallish', but I'm pretty sure I ate about 10 'smallish' pieces!!!). Apart from that you can use any slow cooker for this Baileys chocolate fudge although if you have a much bigger or smaller one than standard you may have to adjust the cooking times. You also need to make sure you line your baking tin with good quality baking paper– don’t try and set the fudge in an unlined tin, it will end in disaster! How long does slow cooker fudge keep for? Once set, cut up into chunks and eat them or give them away in a nice gift bag if you’re feeling nice! It's super rich, soft and chewy... and oh-so-damn delicious. Yep, it's totally going to become your new favourite fudge! I recommend a 2lb loaf tin, but you must only fill your tin to 2/3 full before putting in the oven. Any leftover mix can make some delicious cupcakes (bake time 22 minutes). This is the tin I use anyway, and I have no problems with it. Can I use other brands of Irish Cream? Although I recommend the Baileys brand, you can use any high-quality Irish Cream liqueur. I have been asked over and over to do a baileys loaf cake, but I really wanted to level it up and make it out of this worldly. I went with the idea of a chocolate fudge cake and it worked spectacularly. There is just something different about chocolate fudge cakes that always wins. Can I use any alternative milks? For this fudge to work, I only recommend using sweetened condensed milk or light sweetened condensed milk. How to Make Baileys Fudge
